We pushed for it but Carlton wouldn’t budge because they wanted Kreuzer who, along with Cotchin, was a clear top 2 in that draft
So it was only ever pick 3 and 20 plus a player. Carlton wanted to give us Paul Bower who was a KPD taken with pick 20 in the 2005 draft. We needed a forward more than a defender so chased a reluctant Kennedy which turned out to be a master stroke

Anyhow worked out great for both WCE and Cotchin and not so much for Carlton
Don’t know about that, they had a couple of decent years and it’s hard to imagine they would have done much better with Kennedy and masten but without Judd.
It dragged the club out of complete irrelevance. Probably more impact off field.

But I guess if Kreuzber didn’t get injured or Fevola shit the bed both clubs and Cotchin walk away super happy.

Congrats on goal of the year Harley. Having two Daicos nominations will split the Collingwood vote you'd think.
You would think most non collingwood supporters would go Reid.
It was the better goal anyway. Surprised there weren't any better goals this year.
The first one from Daicos shouldn't be there IMO it was just a casual stroll through the middle cleaning up his team mates fumbles and a straight kick from 40m

Maybe to a degree. One is obviously far better than the other though.
Maybe a bit of karma for being greedy and not giving us pick 1 for the best player in the game.
