Well he didn't draft Pettrucelle but he is the list manager that oversaw his contract extension.

And he was list manager at Hawthorn before returning to West Coast last year.
He wasn't a list manager at the Hawks. He was an assistant coach (backline).

Pet has talent, just hasn't developed for whatever reason

Petruccelle just doesn't do enough, and should never have been playing yesterday. 3 disposals for the game - doesn't help at all. Just nothing from him, and not much more from Ainsworth. Bad selection errors.

The title should be changed to Roast: "The Jack Petrucelle experiment is over."

I'd like to see the board request demand a "Please Explain" from Glass on why Petch was given a contract extension.

As I said before, we lost it at the selection table selecting Petch over Jetta or Jones against the Pies.

Edit: I had no idea Jones was injured, I thought he recovered from his injury.

You mean Cameron? Jones in rehab.

This is stupid.

Some of the people you mention weren't even fit and available.

LOL.

Some hardcore melts here.

He was out with injury for most of the year and had no WAFL to help him develop. For parts of the year there wasn't even training to help him develop.

Only trick is running in a straight line? His highlight packages feature blistering pace, yes, but I'm more excited by his vision in heavy traffic and his contested ball ability.

Yes 2020 was a crap year for him. Was for a lot of players. I for one am backing him in to put his head down, do the work and take his game to another level next year

"Vision in heavy traffic and contested ball ability".

Surely you're having a laugh.

Good counter argument.

No I'm not.

I posted a couple of examples from last year earlier in this thread.

Also, He has a good knack on occasion of handballing out of congestion to an Eagles player on the move. He needs to do that sort of thing a lot more regularly

See how he goes next year, he did have a 10 week hamstring or something like that and the side collectively were playing terrible footy before his injury.

Needs to show a lot of improvement though, especially with sticking tackles, overall production and upper body strength.
