I’m getting more comfortable with this every minute. Always perceived him as a bit of a figjam for some weird reason but he seems like a mature, humble and professional lad. He’s walking straight into our best 22 and I would be shocked if he’s not in the leadership group by 2024 if not next year.

It's a good move, I just hope that Ras and Johno are patient.

Me too. There is a good chance both will be depth/development players next year but I would have said the same about NOD at the start of this year. If the chance comes they need to take it. Those two will be very good players but they have walked into a different list dynamic than the one most of our youth have walked into. The trading in of O’Meara and Jackson tells me the club are keen to pull the trigger on a premiership assault next year.

Lobb would have helped kick enough goals

God. Listening to Barich's inane questions in that presser...

"Stephen Coniglio's wedding, were you the best man?!"
"Were West Coast ever an option???"

The more I think about this, the happier I am. Our losses this year were off the back of being bullied around the contest. He goes a long way to preventing that and will only add to the professionalism off field. His training standards are elite and now he has the chance of win a flag. Let’s ****in GOOOOOOOOOO

It’d be very dockery if a huge key to our premiership isn’t thanks to long term planning but Jason McCartney and JOM both attending Coniglio’s wedding, which happened to be the week before trade week.

To be fair, we were interested before that, it’s just that it was the Hawks deciding to have their fire sale making him realise they actually wanted him to go that really unlocked it.

Can imagine that being a great scene when George Miller makes the flagmantle movie. JOM being a pivotal character who comes in halfway.

Brayshaw and Serong friendship will be like Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman from Shawshank.

Lobb and Colon will be like the Chief guard and Warden.

Nat Edwards (huge Hawthorn fan) on this morning's AFL Daily podcast with Damian Barrett. She named her cat Jaeger when O'Meara joined the Hawks. She is now looking to rename her cat. Looking at retired Hawks legends for inspiration. 😂

I named my smoker Hogan after who I thought was going to be our next superstar forward. I was wrong but I won’t change his name. It’s part of history now. A reminder. I guess some sweep what they don’t like or can’t handle under the rug and forget about it. Hmmm…
