They do. I first met Lachie Neale's manager on here after posting up some photos of Lachie at his first ever training session. He also reached out when I posted up once jokingly calling Lachie a midget and was told that he'd read it and was offended.

Jordan Clarke, Jeremy Sharp, Travis Colyer spring to mind as fringe dwellers who cemented themselves in the 22 with us in the past few years.
Could be others but can't think off the top of my head.

Narkle was better than quite a few guys who were getting a game (mcentee for example). He was either injured or suffered from a lack of gold card under Ken.
I'm glad he's getting another shot in purple!

This is legitimately insulting to both or those players, especially Son Son. Our small forward stocks are natural disaster levels of bad. The club is taking the piss by neglecting a role that has featured prominently in almost all recent flag sides.
Shai Bolton is a stud but after that it drops off like the ****ing Kangshung Face. And Bolton is a hybrid mid/fwd anyway.

He needs to get a 2 year deal then, minimum. I hope it’s third time lucky and he can play some good footy when required due to injuries.

The game day threads are as bad as it gets on BF. Some seriously awful comments at times. Hopefully no AFL listed players ever reads them.
Should be on one year contracts at most.
Even if he's depth I'd like to hope that our recruiting and development is good enough that players go past him rather quickly.
One thing I'll say is most players we recruit/ed between 2023 and 2025 won't be better than him straight away if on the rookie list, which is where he is.

Honestly I never mind these sort of pick-ups. Yeah may cause some frustration being a lower tier best 23/high tier best 24-30 player but you need these sort of players creating healthy pressure for spots, better quality training competition and better quality injury cover. May even improve in quality like Aish and become a solid staple of the team. If not, didn't really cost us much and he doesn't appear to be a detriment on club culture either.

Yeah. There's enough evidence of the clubs providing support around 'feedback' and what is important to listen to. It may not even be the players looking for this stuff, but simply being told what's been said about them, or being sent it.
Walters made a comment somewhere, about him not going any where. I think I saw it on twitter, but it must have been a screen shot from somewhere else.
So he has seen somewhere calls for him to retire early.
Not sure why we would want him to retire. He is our most experienced forward and even on current form, our 1st reserve for the small forward position with Bolton coming in. I have him in front of Narkle, Delean, Simpson & now Reid.
He could wind back the clock or continue to regress but if he wants to play, no way would he not be getting a contract this season if he had of been on a 1 year deal at the end of the year. He averages 2.3 goals a game in finals too, handy in case of injury.

Yeah. I think it's safe to assume that them seeing things on social and in the media is inevitable, and the club recognises this and drills them on understanding what sources of feedback are useful, and to avoid cesspits like here.
