great reminder!I wouldn't count McCabe out just yet
He is likely type who covers the ground really well and is a competitor. He reads the play well and has a good pair of hands and can actually get off the ground to take a mark. Nearly took a hanger in a pack the other day at training. He looks like he has a body that can put on weight and muscle. He would be an imposing figure in 3 to 4 years given what he has done already since start of this year.
Geez when you consider we'll be trying to fit any combination of Sicily, Hardwick, Barrass, Battle, Scrim, Frosty, Impey + Amon in our backline and then have Mraz, Serong, Blanck, McCabe + Ryan developing nicely at Box Hill the club is in an extremely good place in that side of the field.Yep, we drafted one literally just last year! And Blanck a year or two before that.

Wow. I feel like Zane can be a tough critic at times too. Sounds promising.Just wanted to share a little love for Noah, some high praise from Zane.
Noah Mraz (13 disposals, three intercept possessions)
“Tough bugger, geez he was tough on the day. Unfortunately, got a little gash on his head, came off, would have looked nasty for the people there, but he was able to get back on the ground and really compete. He took a really crucial mark late in the game. He's going to be a player, he's just got to continue to be really consistent with all these contests now, not sort of win one or half one and then lose the next two and then win the next one. We want a real mentality of hard to play against with our backs, and he's able to do that at times but with any young draftee, it's just about consistency with them in that area.”
Going to be fun to watch him grow into his game.

He definitely gave old mate Denver a few clipsWow. I feel like Zane can be a tough critic at times too. Sounds promising.
Hopefully ready once Barrass retires.Watched him go back with the flight multiple times. Certainly has courage and good mobility for a key defender.
Core strength and kicking action needs work. He does have a frame that can put on size.
Exciting prospect but will take a while.
Haven not seen much of him live but from small snippets he reminds a little of the Freo captain. A little ungainly kick, quick and courageous. Would that be a fair comparison in terms of his style.Watched him go back with the flight multiple times. Certainly has courage and good mobility for a key defender.

Even if he's not quite ready then, Blanck can fill the gap.Hopefully ready once Barrass retires.
I think that’s a long way off I’m not sure they will hang around that long. I’m tipping Mraz as a smoky to be the next Sam Taylor I’m hoping in time he eases the pain of missing out on Connor Osullivan to the catsEven if he's not quite ready then, Blanck can fill the gap.
Watching BH Noah looks the goods!
So impressed with his past 2 weeks, was the best defender the ground on the weekend.
They might want to check the signature and make sure they signed the right bloke.Jason or Noah?
