We lost an EF to Lions by a point in 2022 thanks to Arc-gate… that’s after Martin missed half a season. Without an arc error we may have won the 2022 flag. No chance in hell was rebuilding after 2021 a smart idea at the time, nor was it even remotely considered end of 2022 when we’d just lost a GABBA final by a point.

We have to live in the real world.

the same people now idolising a EF loss by 1 point like that means there is an alternate universe where we go on to win 4 finals & win the flag in 2022. The forum induced & endorsed insanity here never ends.

That team was never winning a flag. And in the REAL WORLD we never even won a final. They were inconsistent across 4 quarters. Ill-disciplined. Unliked, entitled & playing a style that was completely redundant. Our club culture was shit. The coach a known poor quality person & the team of assistants he had around him were about 50% of the quality we had in 17-20. The team chemistry was miles off whats needed to win a flag. That team was not a pube of the 17-20 team chemistry we had & thats whats required to win flags. How can u forget what it takes to win a flag in just 2 years? You dont win flags with LESS than what we had in 17-20. And 22 was far less than that period.

We may have been close to winning a EF, but who cares. That team was still miles off winning a flag. Stop living in your own idealistic alternate universe & start taking your own advice about living in the real world

I was there that night< and very little doubt that it was a goal, we were never going to win the flag, in 22 at that stage we were on the nose for a lot of reasons hub related, how can any one of us criticize the two young blokes who went out and had kebabs? When they knew the coach had the club bring up the sales girl to warm his bed ? Our culture was destroyed in 20 and we only won that flag on the back of Dusty in spite of Dumma , after that the magic was gone, since then we lost his golden assistants because we couldn’t afford them as the messiah took up a huge part of the soft cap , had to pay for the ex wife and the sales girl , expensive that scenario .

Gale whilst a tiger great has steered the ship into the rocks we were worse if than 2004 at least then we didn’t have players walking out.

A lot of similarities to when Frawley (rip) topped up after a finals appearance

ouzo won’t see out the contract, been under resourced by the club, again that falls on the captain of the ship
