Sounded very much line in the sand as mentioned earlier. Started with a few ums (nerves maybe) but as he got into the speech I thought it was well delivered. Stumbling over every word, seems like a follower not a leader

The awkward toast to the partners was cringe. Wasn't sure he even knew what he wanted the players to do.

I really wanted Yze for the job and I passed a lot of info on here locking him in for the gig well before he got it, but I have been supremely unimpressed.

He needs to find his voice, seems overwhelmed and intimidated coming into the club and forcing change unto an existing successful program

But reality is, we were complacent since 2020, that flag was the last hurrah, mistakes were happening within the hub, if Mini got the job, we'd be stuck in quicksand, change is being forced upon us, and I'd rather be in this position than sucking the teet off the Dimma Dynasty as we slowly deteriorate into the shell of our former selves.

Also - Yze needs to find his voice before he's a development coach that builds the list for the next coach like Bolton did for Carlton.

Too early I believe as still a few blokes he played with are around. I don't know if he would make much difference with so much stench in the place as he left after 3 years of decline anyway. We do need responsible leaders and positive role models, but as much as i agree with you i think it's too early .

I blame the hierarchy this season for alot of the failures, Yze given assistants from the previous regime, lack of support from Gale and Livingstone and then you got Gale saying this season he took a backseat position Yze. Why on earth would you do that. Give him all the ingredients to coach right away stupidity. If he has a media PR issue give him training fullstop.

Adem was assistant at the Hawks during the 3-peat.
Joined the Dees in 2021, when they won the flag, their best performance in 57 years.
He has the score on the board in terms of experience of coaching success.
Four premierships as an assistant.
At one stage this year, we had 20 players on the injury list.

Season 24 showed that no club can deal with a sustained injury run , from r4 we had 15-16 plus unavailable for selection , that’s fkd up
I look forward to seeing how we go with a normal healthy list and the infusion of top end talent , I expect we ll be competitive

On the back of his speech tonight at the JDM, i really hope he is put overseas to get some leadership skills. He has been lambasted as being too soft and close with the players and thr JDM was the perfect place to come out firing and make a statement.

He will probably finish with the worst coaching record ever.

That's why I am worried about our draft crop coming into the doors at Richmond learning off such an uninspiring coach that sets no standards, according to the grapevine.

The young players that were introduced did well how was that so , Rioli and Bolton leaving reflects on them not the coach , indigenous players rarely stay at the one club , scan all clubs , it’s a fact
We had fundamental reasons why we performed so abysmally seems many rather look at the more abstract ones to explain the situation

That's not a plan as per se . This has nothing to do with Yze, but from Livo and maybe Blake building a NEW TEAM. As i said Yze showed little in terms of a plan this year and even Benny pretty well stated this. Caracella is the key though and preseason will be interesting

As bad as Yze’s speech was tonight I think it must of been a terribly uncomfortable place to be in. What a toxic night of celebration and you could see there were people who really didn’t want to be there including the winner.
It’s all what happens next year now , but Yze as mentioned by previous posters has a mountain to climb.

As a coach, it would've been a difficult speech to conduct in front a team that seems disjointed and key players leaving.

Bolton and Baker's speeches did not help the atmosphere
