Tyrell was on the club's Coast to Coast podcast this week. Confirmed his last name is pronounced DEW-ar (as in water droplets) and that DEE-war is just a nickname.

Says he's put on 14kg since arriving at the club, which is pretty crazy given how skinny he still is.

Also talked about playing in the WAFL side last year and how those diabolical losses motivated him over the off-season to put his head down and get to work to improve.

Sounds like a great kid and I really hope he makes it.

Agree, I like him a lot and hope we persist with him rather than the usual churn and burn we’ve had with small forwards over the years. Seems to have really good spatial awareness and slippery af
 
If I hear that WAFL commentator call him “Tirrel” (like squirrel) one more time I’m going to scream, because it means he’s playing WAFL again this year.

Set and forget spell in the seniors the rest of the way, thanks.

I actually saw a lot of Wangeenen-Milera in some of his movement/use. Call it optimistic, but watching him live I saw him reads it well, couple of times was a 2 kicks ahead.
 
And if you listen to the coast to coast this week he has the best streaking skills.
His speed.
They were talking about his speed...
