They must have meant the Batman guy.
I look at our football department and I see a sick Danniher, a first year coach and Longmuir. This could get very ugly.
S West: 300 game player, All Australian 1998,2000,2004,2005,2006. Seven club B&F 2nd in Brownlow to Goodes. Named in WB team of the century. No I guess he's no good.Disagree with this so much, completely overrated player........
I would have thought Worsfold would be the ideal director of coaching.
I said overrated, not no good.S West: 300 game player, All Australian 1998,2000,2004,2005,2006. Seven club B&F 2nd in Brownlow to Goodes. Named in WB team of the century. No I guess he's no good.
scott west has some questionable history with what he did at the bulldogs in one season so unsure whether we'd want someone like that here.
And what was that?
Slept with Simon Cox's wife
After reading bf forum pages don't want West anymore!! was not aware of his misgivings, don't need that as a leader at our club.scott west has some questionable history with what he did at the bulldogs in one season so unsure whether we'd want someone like that here.
t happened with Tommy Kemp , he was there for a while the gone, I thought he would have been a good skills coachI really would have thought a lot more discussion on this board would have been around the lack of a skills coach seeing as our skills were abysmal this year
Every player went backwards with skills
Agree with both of those Scotty was ruck coaching a few years Ago and was good but also a very good tap ruck man himselfPhil Scott for Ruck coach, or Coxy part-time this year for a full time role next year.
I have heard that same from someone who has a part time and minor role with the club.
Last year we were one of the top 4 teams for skills and this year i would say we looked pretty close to the worst. We NEED a skills coach and i hope we implement one.
Simpson on Friday night also said he was looking at getting someone to be director of coaching.
I know this is left field but what about Gary Ayres? I did hear that WCE were semi interested in him but not sure what sort of role. But he would be a good choice to head up director of coaching and would be a good senior mentor to Simpson.
Gary had a decent enough record as senior coach and recently has been coaching Port Melbourne who was pretty hard to beat for a number of years.
Nathan Bassett should also be considered as a backline coach.
Ruck coach i have no idea really....maybe get the ball rolling for Cox post career and have him become a part time role as a ruck coach?
Would love to keep Burns as senior assistant and he could be handy in helping Simpson get to know the squad. Word is he clashed with Woosha in parts towards the end so would love to see what ideas he has.
Voss would be a good get also and could slot in anywhere really and would be a good development coach.
Scott west could also be available as he said on trade radio he is open to going interstate and listed Perth and Brisbane.
My ideal setup:
Director of coaching: Gary A
Senior Coach: Adam Simpson
Senior Assistant: Scott Burns
Backline: Basset
Midfield: Voss
Forward: Longmuir
Skills: Kemp
Ruck: ???
Strategy and innovations ?
Development: A Selwood
Trade Radio: Voss to West Coast may be off the table they are talking now about him being better off going to Hawthorn taking Adam Simpson's place.
Brian Dawson..anyone? anyone? Tony Micale??
Dawson has already said he has no interest in a full time footy role. He is happy to be a puppet at East Perth eagles.
