For those who are wondering here we stand as regard the beagles for 2025

Up to eighty-three (83) cumulative player points• Up to twenty (22) Protected Players• Minimum of 25 WAFL Contracted players listed at all times.• Total Player Payments: 65% + Competitive BalanceBase TPP + (Super) $152,750 + ($18,330)Competitive Balance Rules + (Super) $13,000 + ($1,560)Total Ex $165,750 + ($19,890)Total Inc. Super $185,640.00

To put this in perspective Peel have 80 points and run a league and reserves teams and a minimum 55 players on their list.
The beagles have 83 points and a minimum 25 players. It looks like we can have as many players as we like so long as they don't exceed the 83 points cap.as a comparison East Perth, West Perth ,Claremont, Subiaco, Swans and East Freo have 90 points. Souths and Perth have more points under the competitive model.

The salary cap is two thirds of East Perth or less than fifty thousand dollars. Remember East Perth have a minimum 55 players on their list and have to pay all their Wafl players match payments unlike the Beagles who will Afl listed players on Afl contracts.

It is really up to the Beagles to recruit decent players from Other leagues.
East Perth have lost Crowden and Schumacher to the Sanfl. They have recruited delisted Afl geelong/Hawthorn player Cooper Stephens. I suspect he will be one of the better paid players at East Perth and the club will find him a decent job.

No reason the Beagles can't do the same especially with so many players leaving the club.

Cooper Stephens hey?

Or otherwise known as one of the guys the Cats took with the Tim Kelly picks

Another player apparently signed - Jack Walsh from East Freo. 60 ressies games for East Freo and Peel over the last four years.

Also, Spadanuda and Luke Yeo were supposed to be on loan from EF last year. Spadanuda is now showing up as a Sharks player but Yeo is still an Eagle.

We put more effort into crying about failure then trying to fix it. I wish Don Pyke put even 80% of the effort into fixing the problem as he does whinging about it.

The WAFL team that was the worst in the competition has basically lost its top 5 players. The club should be coming out and telling the fans what the plans are from here. We just threw away our experienced talent and a team devoid of leadership went from having a tiny bit to now literally has none.

Perhaps we sit here and wait til post rookie draft to bring in some players who didnt make it but we havnt shown any ability to do this for many years so not sure thats something worth banking on. We cant grab any WAFL players. They are all contracted so thats out the window

Instead of sending me emails about discounted merchandise, I think the club should be sending out emails explaining our future. If they cant send that email out, they probably dont have a plan for one

Rotham set to sign with West Perth. Jordyn Baker back to East Perth.

WAFL 2024: West Perth set to sign former West Coast defender Josh Rotham after Eagles delisting

Former West Coast defender Josh Rotham is set to return to West Perth, with the Falcons believed to be securing his signature in the coming days.
The West Australian understands Rotham, 26, will return to the Falcons for the first time since 2016, having played 23 colts games and two reserves clashes for the Joondalup-based side before being picked up by the Eagles.
Rotham was delisted by West Coast at the end of the season after 72 games in eight seasons, having been selected with pick No.37 in the 2016 national draft.

The 193cm defender played 13 games this season before being one of eight Eagles to be delisted at the end of the 2024 season.
There were talks he could end up at Essendon but it is now believed he will stay in Perth to re-join the Faclcons.
Rotham’s signature will be crucial for the Falcons after losing star swingman Noah Pegoraro who is heading to Melbourne to join partner Sasha Glasgow who plays for Super Netball side the Melbourne Mavericks.
Fellow defender Mark Hamilton has also retired, leaving the Falcons short of key defensive depth.
It is understood East Perth were in the frame for Rotham given he played 30 games for the Royals in 2017 and 2018 because of the Eagles alignment, but they could not fit him in because of their limited points.

West Perth have been on a strong recruiting drive with premiership star Mitch Peirce returning after a year away, while midfielders Roan Steele and Bake Waight have joined from Casey Demons and Glenorchy respectively.
They have also signed 199cm ruckman Matthew McKenzie from North Adelaide, after he averaged 12 touches and 16.5 hit-outs in 10 games.
Rotham is one of several former AFL players to return to the WAFL after being delisted.
Former Eagles teammate Zane Trew is back at Swan Districts, while Fremantle defender Ethan Hughes has joined South Fremantle alongside former Collingwood and West Coast WAFL player Trey Ruscoe and Eagles defender Jamaine Jones.
East Perth have recruited former Geelong and Hawthorn midfielder Cooper Stephens, while Sebit Kuek (Fremantle) and Jordyn Baker (West Coast) have returned from stints on AFL lists.
Essendon mid-season draftee Jaiden Hunter has joined Claremont, while former Fremantle rookie Conrad Williams has signed with Perth.
