Haven't watched a WAFL game in years. Really enjoying it.

Gee Leederville has changed a lot since I used to go there to watch West Perth in the 70's. The big bank in the scoreboard pocket is mostly gone. The technical school end doesn't look like it's a technical school any more. And there's a m*f*ing huge building on the east side that never used to be there.

Edit: Some things don't change. Ah Chee going for mark of the year for example.

Some things do change... like AhChee hanging onto a MOTY.

Definitely not a backman. Hopefully one of Vardy or Williams gets promoted next week and he can go back to playing as a forward-ruck.

Then H.Edwards, Cole, Foley, Witherden, Rotham and Nelson to fight it out for the last 2 spots?

Getting a few of those boys back will help out the beagles enormously. The defence was very shakey. Johnson and and Collins in will help too.

Conversely Brandon Matera .......... how the hell he managed to play as many AFL games as he did, puzzles me.... talk about Captain Crapyourpants around any physicality.

Shuey could have got himself murdered putting his body on the line for the Beagles late in that last quarter.

Several players held firm against the wave of momentum Subiaco had with the wind during that last quarter. Subiaco aren't a bad team, it's only their second loss for the year - they would have thrashed Gold Coast's first team today if provided with the opportunity.

Both the Materas looked like they were getting games based on their surname. Might’ve had a few touches but that was mostly because they kept giving it to each other.

TBF Bailey was playing reserves for Souths for a bit and now getting regular games forthe best WAFL team going around

West not having the game he would like to but I've been sorta impressed by it. He cracks in hard a the coal face and has super competitive edge to his game. Very Yeo like traits from him and I'm excited about him

Looked like Subi was tagging him. He will get better at playing with a tag. Love how he cracks in to win the hard ball.

I feel like Witho might not get a run next weekend, just because we'll probably already be loading up on guys that have missed a bit and won't want to bring in too many together. Hope he finds his way into the side soon though, as I thought he was great today.

Only caught the last quarter, but thought Witherden was very good. Footskills under pressure, in a tricky breeze were a class above. Hopefully he pulled up okay. I think he’s got a long future for us.

Luke Shuey going back with the flight In those dying moments had “concussion symptoms ruling Luke out for the remainder of 2021” written all over it. Super gutsy and can’t wait to have him back for the bulldogs.

Thought that apart from Shuey, Witherden was the one clearly a class above for the WAFL. Has fluffed a couple of kicks at AFL level but I am increasingly confident that we have a good long-term ball user off half-back to replace Hurn once he retires.
