That quarter was more like what we've come to expect from the Beagles. Zero forward structure. A complete inability to transition the ball out of defence. Perth will run all over them in the second half for a 7 goal win I think.

Some very lazy kicks from J Williams and Winder at the end, McGovern specials. Costly errors which are so demoralising for a side that is in desperate need of goals and confidence.

O'Neill has been Best on Ground and should be recalled next week. Hough and Strnadica were solid, I'd also put Waterman in that category.

Clark has looked unfit, probably unsurprisingly.

Winder had a better second quarter (shocking kick late aside). Needs a big second half, as does SPS.

Jamieson took a nice mark in the first quarter, but is a pretty simple delisting this season. Not fit enough for AFL footy.

Williams had a poor second quarter, but he had a decent first so looking forward to his second half efforts. Bit of puppy fat still to be worked off.

Clark copping a tag.

Winder was playing forward, moved into the middle in the second term and started to get plenty of it, disposal has let him down though.

Sumich got up limping after a simple mark, then went off with the trainers. Hope he’s alright. Waterman shifted down back to cover.

Jack Williams looks like being another key forward gun when he fills out.

Strnadica and Jamieson are both very worried by Ajang’s leap.

Jamieson 3 touches in a half is telling at WAFL level for a big guy with a few years on the list

SPS looking like we paid overs for him...

As an aside, I strongly disagree with dropping Waterman back during that quarter. If we're doing that with anyone, it should be J Williams.

Waterman is too important to how we structure up forward and it would be good for Williams to clunk a few down back for his confidence/development.
