west coast,freo,crow and port fans over 30 years old - did you switch?

In my experience most people followed a WAFL team and a VFL team a distant second. .

That suits me.

I know I had teams all over Australia. Subiaco and Hawthorn plus Cooparoo and Sandy Bay and of course Sturt in the SANFL

Yet if Port were the first side I would not have switched

Alawys followed my Bulldogs ( Central Districts ) in the SANFL first.

Loved the VFL as well, but really tended to follow the SA lads like Platten, Sticks, Bradley, Motley,Mguiness etc etc. But admit to loving the VFL.

When the Crows come in it was perfect as I didnt have any solid alliances.

My mates who followed specific VFL sides and there are many , still support those teams and have the crows or Port as their second side I suppose.

I'm 33 grew up south of the river near east freo, schooled in freo, barracked for south freo as a kid and only interest in VFL was the Winners highlights on sunday evening.

As soon as the Eagles entered the comp, dad bought memberships for the family and we have been going to the games since 87.

We stayed eagles members even after the dockers entered the comp. We had supported the WCE club since inception and were not going to change allegiances.
