Massive massive game. Lose and I will write us off as flag contenders. Must win game even with a 5 day break. Sydney only have 6 days too and must travel so no excuses really.

Lucky it is early in the season and not later on. The fact we lost a close one the players will want to get into it straight away plus we have a decent break after so lets hope they hope they go all in!

We certainly don't play like the players "want to get into it" and that is a massive black mark against us contending.

We play like a team full of accountants.

Sydney started appallingly last week so you know it's going to be a focus of theirs on Thursday to start well

We have to be ready for it and no excuses if we're not

A super inexperienced Swans outfit travelling to Perth in a must win against a hardened eagles line-up. We should win this except for both teams glaring different understanding(s) of what "must win" means.

Swans by 2005, Buddy to kick 1900 goals.

Sorry everyone, I've just accepted an offer to go to the game so we'll be losing by 70-ish. I wish it could have been avoided but I didn't want to be rude.
You're like that poster from last week. Stay home campaigner!

Despite our game being a wet slog, Collingwood laid 48 more tackles than West Coast last weekend (115 vs 67) and won 28 more contested possessions (162 vs 134).

Good thing we're not playing Collingwood then

Gold Coast laid 57 tackles - 10 less

Fremantle had 141 contested possessions- just 7 more

Completely irrelevant
Gold Coast and Fremantle weren't playing Sydney.

If you think it's irrelevant why comment?

R1 - Port won the contested possession count by 22 (161)

R2 - WB won the contested posession count by 16 (169) and tackles by 10 (84)

The teams that have beaten Sydney have averaging 164 CP while our average is the lowest in the comp (135).

While we aren't winning contested footy we are also not applying defensive pressure to turn the ball over, averaging 4th lowest tackles in the comp. The teams who have beaten Sydney are all in the leagues top 4 for average tackles.

IMO this is relevant because it shows we are not going to beat Sydney in the same way that the other 3 sides have beaten them.

See this makes more sense because there's a context to the stats
