Gee it is going to be a LONG year for the Garfield boys. Looking at the outs on the clearence list, all the guys leaving have all been top 10 players or very close to it over the last few season's. It's a shame because Garfield were always tough to play against, especially at home.
Pick up a few probably 5 but think cook is not fit and will miss this week. Both Soumilas will be handy as will the McFarlanes. Not much more besides that. I heard Taralgon are going to be massive imporvers this year. How many in's will they have on last years team.
I would say straight into senior side their may be up to seven real quality players they would include, Hazelmans, Leigh Cummins, Brad Knowles, Tom Mcqualter, Danile Pahl i am not too sure about Tim Johnston and Tim Darby but i would say they will play too.
There was a rumour Sticks Wissmer was playing there too.
Things are looking better for Taralgon
Steve Hazelman apparently did his knee in the final practice match and will miss the season, Brad Knowles is now playing cricket in WA, so, I am not sure what that will mean for his footy.

Grand Finals to be played at traralgon and the league called Gippsland Football League. Seniors, Reserves and Thirds only. and 3 Netball grades. Thirds, Seconds and Seniors.
Other possibles but must only be a 12 team league. - Morwell East, Nilma-Darnham, Heyfield, Newbourogh.
I know the trip to Wonthaggi from Bairnsdale is along way but it is only once a year. Yarram wouldn't want to do it as they have been battling to get rid of Wonthaggi for years but if they get serious and turn 3 clubs in the town to 2 they could easily do it. Churchill have been there before but should return. This league would return footy to the good old days of a major league actually being major.
i know this would never happen but it is fun to make a league of sides that would be good for footy.

Unfortunately Churchill are forefeiting the thirds this year which is a shame and points to the fact that they may be weakening in a few years.
This may reflect on the need to change the thirds to under 17's....
Scratch Darnum for that idea. It wont be this way forever.

Played well, as u sed got better as the game went on. went into the backline when wallace got injured. Sale's young squad will only get better and better as they gain confidence under the leadership of coxy.
Well done on the weekend Elmo, yours was the first name I looked for in the best, and as I expected, you didn't let me down. Keep up the good work mate. Great win for the boys after quite a few had written you off.
lachs is a natural big tall and strong.
He will have a very good footballing future.
If lachy was only as dedicated or worked as his older brother was he would be a great chance of making the big time. But saying that as he is getting older and realizing what he has to do if he wants to play at the top.
