Rain may save England from Cricbuzz:

"18:13 Local Time, 22:13 GMT, 03:43 IST: The ground is currently under covers as a rain filled passing cloud went over the ground. The rain has stopped for now the outfield remains wet and the covers are still in place."

Was hoping WI would get Jewel Andrew straight into the action especially against an attack that has a mix of some genuinely good bowlers but also a few that can be attacked.

The worry of course with any young stroke player from the Caribbean is that they catch the eye and then they’re whisked away before they can have a meaningful career in any format. Boy he has some talent though based on some of his age cricket achievements and some of the glimpses he’s shown at senior level

So Jamie Overton not bowling and playing as a batsman effectively? At 8 ? What’s happened to England as a ODI team since becoming world champions in 2019?
Apart from a 4 year period under Bayliss.

England has been a garbage ODI team for 5 decades.

1 x World Cup win where they need a boundary countback.

Hopefully it ends up 1-0 West Indies and get stuffed England.

Too much cricket - last couple of months in engs calendar there were 6 tests then a short form series v aus then a 3 test tour and now this wi series.

Losing is only meaningful when you’re motivated to play.

Tell that to the players being given an opportunity.

Every outing for a professional cricketer especially at international level, is a marketing one. There is no reason at least individually for a player to ever not be motivated anymore

West Indies beat England 2-1, in two consecutive seasons on their home deck.

Not the best preparation coming up for the Champions Trophy given they don't have much games to come:

Australia are going into the 50 over Champions Trophy with the 2nd least games.

English being shit never did anyone any harm. Keep up the good work you ****ing crabsticks.

At least when the Windies pick someone with sub-par domestic stats there’s usually a pretty good reason for it: ie. there’s only 60-odd regulars in the region to choose from, and 20 of them wouldn’t be getting a game if their better credentialed island brethren weren’t playing franchise cricket overseas so really it’s only 40 players that are earning their domestic spot in the first place.

What are the poms picking them on?

A sleeve tattoo, standing above 6 foot, once rolling their fingers down the side of a used women’s cricket ball during a f**ken net session and middling a slog sweep during a Lancashire League match in between games for a franchise competition for a format that doesn’t even exist beyond England itself after someone decided 120 ball games weren’t short enough so they’d trim 20 more off them. F**k me

Can't disagree one iota, but I won't do that.
