From my information, geppy won't be at Hamilton next year anyways, but do agree with warhog, think there number's will improve without Russell there.

East have reapointed Child's for another year, have heard a few players not happy with him, so will be interesting what in's and out's they have next year, as Child's has had problems recruiting!!

Looks like anyone come finals could win on the day, Holt wouldnt be as confident anymore compared to a few weeks ago, with all losses away to Mount teams. He does have experienced big name players, bit of age comes with them, are they fit enough to run the games out!!!!!

My info is Gepp will stay at Hamilton, but little will it matter. Can't see any of the imports staying unless they were to relocate. Hamilton will need a huge recruiting campaign to even consider being a top 5 chance next year as there is Zero depth this year!
What's gunna happen in the finals? West are starting to peak, were Portland bad or were South just to good on the day, and North, if their guns fire will trouble anyone............... but as we have seen for the last 20 years, they fold when it counts! And East should only make up the numbers.
I still think if Portland can get a full side on the park, they're the team to beat.

Portland were ordinary, but I don't think anyone is getting too worried. If McConnell stands up, North are a serious threat, their kids move the ball well. However it's going to depend on a few things. I like South this far out, they are building nicely and were just way to solid for Portland. I haven't seen West this year so I cant comment.

Heard from a reliable source that Gepp will coach Branxholme next season. Hamilton's decision to sign Grant Russell has cost the club not just financially but has put the club behind the rest of the competition. The likes of Gibbons and Crow need to be kicked out of the club as they have ruined the club with bad decisions. They might as well make the next president the clown of the club PJ

Rumour around Brad Thomas will coach Hamilton next year!!!! Surely they couldnt be that stupid, had no experience, has played the 3 years at Port Fairy, who MAY have won 3 games in 3 years.
The game plan would revolve around kicking it to him!!!!
He choked in 2008 GF, he could have won the game for Imps, but froze!!!
Would love to read the contract, bet it has a special clause in it!!! the same as at Port.

i would imagine the officials and the recruiters would have a very good relationship and talking between themselves, unless they are ignoring the recruiters they have used in the past?
I wouldnt know of a club going around where recruiters arent talking with the club on exactly what they want happening unless they are no longer in the loop.
So i guess the question is Go4it are you no longer in the loop?

I think West will get up by 4 goals. Think South relies to much on Capwell, Copping and Berkfield to kick majority of there goals. Think Hooker will have his 2 best players on them to shut them down. Jarrod Ryan looks like back in form with some big bags lately, will be a x factor come finals. Portland have been most consistant all year, and probably deserve to finish top, but think they will probably play North who will have a big win againts Heywood to finish third!
Will be intereting to see if Mcconnell plays this weekend, as heard he done his hamstring again! How bad is another thing, could tell how far North can go in finals with him on one leg!!!!!

Hugh Douglas's girlfriend after all is a Hamilton netballer and the only reason he didn't sign with hamilton when first coming to town was because of Grant Russell. If only you knew your right on the money with the leagues focus been on Mt Gambier. The league has been biased for years until recent with the grand final always been in Mt Gambier for a number of years before they started to share it with Casterton. Also the committee has always been Mt Gambier focused which has come back to bite the league now.

Footyfan it sounds obvious you are a keen supporter of Hamilton and maybe wishful thinking, but I find it hard to beleive the 2 you mentioned would be heading to Hamilton. over the last 10 years or so there seems to be only one way traffic in Hamilton and it's usually disgruntled local players leaving Hamilton after they were dumped for highly paid duds from elsewhere to go and play at imps. The only one of note going the other way was Clugg and I think last I saw him over here was playing for Imps B grade!!! I think something is rotten at Hamilton and it may need a clean out of administration and a good coach similar to West have accomplished (Not that I'm overly keen on the vestas but credit where credit is due). Thomas is a good player from memory but I doubt he's old enough to get his own way vs the committee, meaning more of the same if he's appointed

Totally agree with you fromthefence on Hamilton needing a complete clean out of administration. The past 4 presidents have all been duds and have used the job as a power trip for their own egos. For Hamilton to go forward as a club they need to stop wasting money on poor choices. Gibbons has proven he is a poor decision maker. You dont go out and get a coach like Russell unless you are wanting poor results and you do not have money to get a good quality results proven person. It is like a circus at the Hamilton football Club at the moment with a number of people lining up to be crowned clown of the year. I do not blame the lakes of hatherell, logan and co going to other leagues to get away from this poor culture

Is that right about Douglas?? My impression was he signed with Imps because he became good mates with a number of the Imps lads as soon as he moved to Hamilton. Not sure what role Russell played in his decision to join Imps. Since he's been at Imps he's became one of the most popular blokes at the club amongst players, committee and supporters........ he seems pretty happy! He and Alan Martin have formed a good partnership up forward, both are still only young. Douglas the sort of guy Imps can build a side around!

So instead of blaming everyone from the coach to the 10 year old scoreboard attendant, blame these 2 idiots who have put there hands out for the last 17 weeks and quite happily accepted there $1000,s. Has Aaron Fiora even been mentioned in the best players yet? S Flemming you half wit, you can be included in that as well.

Freak show, agree with you a little. But Hamilton got nothing out of S.Fiora last year, its only he come out of trying to make it a footballer in Adelaide that he showed a little in his time at West. They don't train, dont care, its all bout the $$$$. Flemming another big dollar player, who hasn't proved to anyone in his career that he can play and is worth spending the money. Now he is to old, big and slow. Little bit dissapointed in Aaron though, should have dominated this league, but think he was a little injury proned though, and played with niggles, which everyone does though...

Suck it up Imps you aren't going anywhere (yet) get used to it and concentrate on playing decent footy. Having said that bring on the review lets see what "wise heads" on both sides of the border can come up with, we may be too close to be able to see the bigger picture. No real surprises on the home and away ladder. For the SA clubs West look unstoppable, South out of steam, East not this year, same for North and the Saints well they never came back from summer holiday. I see Dean has been reappointed, a good man, hope he gets the support he deserves this time.

Watched Millicent play them both teams were b grade quality cant believe that Millicent played in last years GF.
