If anyone bad mouthed the club it was the coach. His speech was directed at Life members, Premiership players and general supporters. I didnt hear Paddy and Sid bad mouthing any of those groups which at the end of the day makes a CLUB.

Agree , poor form from the coach. He should go and Paddy/Sid takeover co-coach duties

Couldnt give a stuff to the inner workings of the Laverton FC and what is happening, as you said we all have our own backyards to concentrate on.
Sorry if you feel i was making comment on your club, i wasnt. I was merely making a comment on the topic of sides ( any sides ) purposely putting senior players in the twos to help them win when they are not twos players.... what about the poor twos blokes that miss out come finals time ?
Anyway only my opinion and its ok if you dont agree

if these " parkside people " premiership, 300 game players are happy to see the team lose you have to wonder why? the difference between parkside then and now is that in 2006 2 senior players were going to get booted out from the club mid year and the whole playing list said if they get booted we will forfeit the rest of the year, if that situation happend now you would have a stampede of players jumping over each other to lag them in and then push them out the door before they could even grab their car keys. what happend to the motto " once a parksider always a parksider "

i think youll find in the last couple of weeks Laverton has packed there reserves side in order to get them into the finals.
The team u played wasnt Lavertons best side. You may see players such as Wells and other normal senior players qualifying for the reserves.
The part in bold is what i referring to. Not directly commenting on Laverton FC but the topic in general. If Lavo are not doing that all good, just commenting on what someone ( from Lavo ) wrote !!!!!

This is generally an anonymous forum. Just because someone suggests or writes like they are from Lavo doesn't actually mean they have anything to do with the club other than watching the odd game. "Unit" isn't a player or administrator but a bloke with seemingly a chip on his shoulder. So i'd certainly be taking anything he says about the internal workings of Lavo with a grain of salt.

Maybe a former junior player. After how many years not playing at a club do you start having no idea about what is going on inside the club? Hasn't played senior football at the club in at least the last 4 or 5 years.
If DP beat albanvale, they becoming premiership favourites imo. I'm sure the league would like this, it'll make their quest for 3 divisions easier as I'm sure DP will have no objections to being in div 2 again next season!

I dont like saying someone is from a club when they have nothing to do with it. Sort of like how you aren't really from dp, you just claim them when they put a good run together!
The way we're travelling we'd be a fair chance of needing to tank in any division to make 2's finals! But i'm guessing if by some miracle we won a flag, we'd realise we've all got d*cks and go up to the higher division!

You probably wouldnt know since deer park spend a miseley 30k+ a year on players, but when a club pays nothing its sometimes becomes hard to fill teams when yous are losing?? yous would probably understand if your club had a heart and tried their hand in divy 1. but once again youll prob have a good reason why your excuse for a club couldnt play in divy 1...
DP reminds me of anthony mudine, believe they are so great but are to affraid to test themselves against better opposition.
Out of interest how many dp players actually played their junior footy at DP???? and how many yous have brought in with coin???? any ideas weapons????

I think the rules relating to qualification state that to qualify, you must have played a minumum of 6 games for the club, and to play reserves finals, you must have played half of your games + 1 at reserve level. What this means, is basically, if your have played 6 games for the club, you need to play 4 of those in the reserves to qualify for reserves finals. The only way to negate this is if both seniors and reserves are in finals on the same weeked.
The other thing I think is a rule is that if a player plays 2 games in one day (reserves and seniors), from a qualification prespective, only the senior game counts.

Just a clarification - you must play 6 games for the club of which two must have been in the Reserves and you can not have played half plus 1 games (9.5=10 games) in the Seniors to qualify for the Ressies.

there would be more in the ressies as well.....
i dont know for sure but every player would get some sort of renumeration for playing in our 1sts........depends on thier contract which most would have.......
ive said before i WAS dissapointed they didnt go up but that decision isnt up to me and imo the powers at be made the right choice.......
and your comment about anthony mundine.....there are better teams than d/p this year just look at the ladder......d/p should finish where they did last season......and just a little fact 1st time in wrfl/fdfl history a team come from elimination final to win the flag.....not a bad effort.......
All the club needs is for 4 known dogs to move on and they are the president,that fat rat BC and that thief that plays and trains and even drinks in the bar with a balaclava on NJ and the little white ant back stabber DO problems solved out with the new in with the old and watch the place grow wings again.

the club has let itself go to shit. werve been saying for a long time get rid of certain people and they havnt and look at a sheppa for example his walked out and turned his back on the club 3 times then king hits his best mate which is the clubs admin and football opperations manager he owes money to half the people at parkside yet the president and "new" parkside think these people are better than us. so how u ment to deal with poeple already making the wrong choices. if we were to go in and take over 3qts of the club would be shown the door and a fair few players wages would be cut down and then we would see who really plays for the jumper.

Farnsworth - You obviously love your club which is great. I am not sure how things work at Parkside but at my club we have an AGM every year and all members get to vote on all positions. I am pretty sure all clubs do this.
If you are not happy with the direction of the club why don't you let things rest until the season is over and then get down to the AGM and put your hand up for the top job

Because Farnsworth and the rest of the "True Parksiders" are comfortable just showing their faces 2 or 3 times a year, expect to get big pats on the back for doing it and aren't prepared to put in the hard yards like the current committee. Typical Parkside - All mouth.
Either stop giving advice and get involved an actually DO SOMETHING to help or Shut Up!
