Time does certainly fly weapons, I was running around with the Parkers around that time and also coached my first Premiership ( junior ) up the road a little. Now its only two more sleeps untill the big day. Both games promise to be crackers and now with the teams selected we can focus on positive outcomes for both. Incredible feeling at the club tonight, in all my time I have never seen so many determined faces in the same room with the same aim.

Re: Western Region Football League team

Well it is amazing sitting back reading all the great tipsters of the league. A lot of people going with the colts and if we go by tips the colts are favourites. Cracker game tomorrow hope all are rested because their will have to be no passengers from both teams. He will be afraid of the big black cat is the question?

I think that rumour going around about cabby going to Colts next year looks like it is on the money. Webby could take him under his wing and just groom him to take over his running and kicking game when he hangs up his boots. Their definitely wouldn't need any other enticement other than for Cabs to play with his mate ROCK and maybe with Cabs skills might even make ROCK a better footballer. Who knows stranger things have happened?

We would love to have cabs at colts but unfortunately are unable to offer any sign on fee and we don't pay huge amounts but i'm sure that would not be a reason cabs would come to our club in the first place,i would highly doubt that he would play against sunshine though.I do like his mum though so if he comes she would have to follow as the colts new number 1 supporter.
As for webby taking him under his wing that can't happen.tomorrow's game will be webby's last game,he is hanging the boots up,he has had 5 years at colts and is one of the main reason's we have been the number 1 team in that time, webby is one of the best i have seen in this league and could do it all, good luck to him on the next phase in his life and hope all goes well for him sam and his new baby girl zahra.....

Maybe the offer to Cabs could go along the lines of a job on the wharves - beetr be a muscle job, not one for brains, straight into Webby's running role out of the back line and the number ! supporter for his mum, what a package deal. An offer he couldn't refuse?

Re: Western Region Football League team

Please everyone do us a favour and cut back the linton talk. I've never known a man to thrive so much on his on publicity, and most of it is generated by himself! (FIGJAM)

Hey ROCK just out of curiosity where did Webby play before Colts? what was his junior club?

Not one for braun either so wharfs would be out for him!

i know josh very well and i highly doubt it although he would be more
then welcome
well we will have to see what happens he would be the perfect replacement for webby.

My tips for the weekend are:
18s- Altona by 39 pts BOG Hardiman
Res- Port by 5 pts BOG Perkins
Sen- Spotty 14 pts BOG Mangan

Mangan has a huge job on Caddy and for Spotty to win he must cut him out of the game.

Webby was from richmond centrals as a junior,i played tac cup with him at the dragons then he went to the sandy zebras and then to balwyn and also up to southport in the qafl and then back to balwyn and the last 5 years at colts,he and along with half of his team mates work together.

As for getting jobs for players we try but there is no guarantees but we can make it alot easier that applying yourself.........

Honestly didn't realize he had played at the high quality clubs that he has. A year at hoppers how did that happen must have been painful. Well if he is hanging up the boots it is a shame. Although at times i have found his on field behaviour to be questionable there is no don't he has been a great player for the colts and he is a personality of the league.
