well travy i believe in training hard but not for more than 2 hours these days you get more out of high intensity training in shorter bursts so flat out for anything up to 90 min is enough if done right and aslong as blokes try and do a little something on thier off days i know for a fact that my mate at port rides his road bike anywhere up to 40kms mon wed and friday but only real easy riding fridays and most sundays he has his own recovery session at the beach and he manages to get through seasons with out soft tissue injuries and other minor setbacks such as corkies

TOC, l couldn't help myself here, but is your mate the bloke that doesnt have a seat on his bike and only uses side streets that have multiple speed humps.... :thumbsu:

Totally agree with you touch of class. The days of training for 2 hours plus are well and truely gone. they are good though every now and then when needing a bit of a blowing out. We had not trianied since wednesday and copped a hiding the week before. There are blokes out there that do the extra work on non-training nights, however at this level of footy these people are unfortunately a minority.

i herd off my good mate that the port boys had a very hard night on the track after the week off the boys will be primed to come out with all guns blazing in a game where they know they have to be switched on all day to get the result they want

portcolts will beat seddon even if they turned up at 3.30,seddon are sadly undermanned and would battle to make it into the top eight of 2nd division
Even if the colts played there worst football on the weekend they will still win by atleast 15 goals

He is spot on here fellas, just ignore him. The more you eat away at him the more material he has to come back with. Let his comments just go through to the keeper so we can get on with talking about WRFL footy which is what this thread is all about.

Tune into 88.9 on saturday for the game of the day between the saints and kangas.

Few showers and a top of 16, another pearler of a day in Melbourne!!!

Re: Western Region Football League team

Dont really know, being early int he year though you would still hope it is in reasonable shape. I know it is small ground though and has a hill past the boundary down one side which is handy if there is a close match and there is need for a time wasting strategy. I dont think this ploy will be required from any team playing there this year though by the look of it.
