Okay, thanks.

So the concerns for the safety stemmed soley from this one game? Thats rather strange!

this is the only game i know about so it is the only game i can comment on. I am not sure if these incidents are occuring in other games. Maybe some other Div 2 followers can shed some light on this for you

I read that in division 2 last week, Braybrook refused to travel to Central Altona to take part in a match against them, apparently they were fearing for the safety of their players.

I am not aware of the details, but apparently a number of Central Altona players have been reported/suspended etc in the last few weeks and we can't forget that big fight where the game was called off in round one I believe against West Footscray.

(On that note, does anyone know where we can find a list of suspensions/reports, as I remember the old FDFL Record having a weekly list, it was interesting to read)

Central Altona offered to swap the game to Braybrooks home ground, however the offer was refused. Braybrook did not get points for the game, but neither did Central Altona as they owe the WRFL money.

The President of the Club was shattered, and rightly so. There are a number of clubs these days which are struggling for numbers and although logic dictates that perhaps the weak should fold to feed the strong - it's not easy letting go of a club which has been around for decades.

Would anyone here know anything about the Central Altona situation?

I would appreciate your thoughts and comments.

Thanks

My long lost feral ones, how have all of you been going? :D

In regard to Central Altona I heard there were a couple of more unsavory incidents at the Glenordan game two weeks ago. I also heard that an umpire was chased to his car or threatened in his car and that his car was kicked. Because of this there was an apparent threat of an umpires strike last weekend. This is what I have heard. Whether anyone can shed light on what might be rumour or not can they let us know!

Aren't you from the EDFL? Isn't Moonee Valley the club with the biggest ties to drugs, since Mark Moran was a patron and they allegedly supplied key recruits with substances such as Cocaine?!?

M Webber is a tool. If you ignore him he should go away.

Not sure about the incidents, but allegedly, all the presidents of Div 2 clubs met during the week (except Central Altona Pres), and have all decided to forfeit matches with Central Altona in coming weeks. Especially since they wont get the points either, due to being unfinancial with the league.

Boys boys boys

This thread (and this forum for that matter) is to talk about footy. Many of you seem silly enough to even respond to m webber who is clearly trying to provoke you guys and it works. Retaliating in my opinion is a lot worse than saying nothing, it only ends up being a 'bitch' fight with no substance (mum jokes etc).

Stick to footy, ignore m webber's posts and everything should be fine.

If this is actually true, its big news.

This week North Sunshine play Centrals, will be interesting to see if the game goes ahead.

Instead of replying to his worthless post report him to the moderator of these threads. If there is enough people that report him he might get a lengthy holiday.

Re: Western Region Football League team

At least there seems to be more talk about other clubs in the WRFL other than hoppers and colts!

Re: Western Region Football League team

On Cameron Beazley returning to the WRFL from Strathmore, I hear he will definately go to Spotswood and could be there as soon as this Saturday. Strathmore have given him the go ahead for a clearance. Very handy pick up could just boost Spottys stocks, although they are still very soft and scared as I pointed out last week. Does anyone know if Cameron Barker has returned from injury yet??? Also hear that James Condos might not play this week due to injury and if he does will be playing at 50% can anyone back this up???.

Bit harsh on Beazley d-mac, he has played in alot better standard of footy than EDFL and delivered, ie: VFL, DVFL. Just don't think he was given the opportunity at Strathmore. I spoke to a mate of mine who knows Beazley quite well and apparently he was told he would not get a game in the ones unless there were injury's. Bit harsh on a well acomplished player!. Must have had a falling out somewhere along the line. I'm sure he would be welcome to any team in the WRFL (maybe not Hoppers)and EDFL. Good luck to him, I think.

Or Colts was going to come this year but came to the grand final celebrations and bagged people and their fathers and peolpe in general, if the bloke didnt drink and got over himself he probably would be great value to a team l think the WRFL suits Beasley because he is slower as the years go by. Good luck to him his toughnest will go a long way towards Spotswoods cause to get some long awaited success
