He's had counselling and reckon's it's in the past,but mean while we still have the flag and cup as a reminder of his mistake.

Hopefully if things go bad at West these new recruits don't do a runner and leave them in the lurch like they did to Parkside.

If you are named vice captain of the reserves it usually means there is a fair chance your not getting looked at too strongly for senior selection. So being vice captain of a reserves team is not such a claim to fame. So as much as its not a bad thing it doesn't necessarily mean a player is in the best two in the reserves. Probably means there are 5 or 6 in line for senior selection first. Hopefully their football ability out weighs loyalty and committment issues to make it worth while for West.

Rumor has it one of the colts recruits goes by the name of gotheroos on big footy, he has a very inflated opinion of himself and is using a Best & Fairest that he might have won whilst playing for the team his oldman coached to ask for huge money, Is the reason he hasnt signed with the colts is he is asking for more that they are prepared to pay or will the colts
match Lindsays payment of $500 per game plus a signon to get him across the line.
Wouldnt be a bad effort for a club that has a rumored limit of around $300 per game to have about 5 or 6 players over that limit on their list. I think its about time the colts leader should come clean , tell the truth and stop spin doctoring about match payments. Lets face the facts good players want good money.

Destroyer,what you have got to remember is that the colts only pay $250 max for thier players,all the other money comes from sponsors outside the club,rock07 has being telling everyone this for ages.so Lindsay's signon and the other $250/game will be paid by a sponsor.If only the sponsors woke up to themselves and put the money into the club and get the recognition that they deserve then the club can pay the players.Thier 50k would rise to 100k very quickly.

That's it buddy call people pricks behind their backs very brave of you.
OK i have been beating around the bush to long our budget is 120k,the minimum amount paid per player is $250 AND MAXIMUM OF $1000 per game for some and we have 6 players on this amount.
I actually get paid 25k to play and coach while ellis get 15k also our reserves all get $50 a game, so really a total club budget is closer to 200k.
Also now with caddy definately staying and mcbroom back from overseas who knows what that will cost us but who cares we have millions to spend,according to big footy followers.[you know more than me]
In the end mate no matter what i say you will make your own opinion but as long as we keep winning premierships thats all that matters and we keep all our players happy.
Looking forward to the season ahead i can see it being a tough season with spotty recruiting very well and being super fit ,they will be very hard to beat,albion have also recruited well and we know hoppers will always be competitive wth the top 3 hopefully sunshine and parks don't drop off to much as we all want a tough and even wrfl A grade.

200k is a s h i t load of cash for local footy. Considering also that Hoppers have been hung out to dry in the past for heavy recruiting.
The numbers your bandying about would not look out of place in Tony Mokbel's bank account!

What about gotheroos is the budget to tight to fit him in or when do you expect to sign him. Caddy's not cheap and mcbroom would cost a bit.Rock might have to take a pay cut. With your list & a watered down competition you would be the hottest favourites in a long time, you might have blokes on $300 coming off the bench.

Yes very true i am a big mouth on the field and that's the way i play sorry if you don't agree with it.Again your correct with the john haldane incident give me an absolute bath i didn't stand a chance with him and two albion players standing in front of me but in the end the colts scrapped home by 15 goals so hopefully albion put up a better show next time.We look fwd to playing them it's a game we ALWAYS put down for a win not trying to be nasty or anything...........

Rock, you will unbeatable this year, the only issue will be if all your egos can handle another year together. The threepeat will be a monty. Try and get some odds about going through undefeated.

Fan, you make mention the depth of the youth on the Colts list at present.
What is it going to take for these young players to get a spot in the 22 and play a part in the 3peat?
With Kealy, Taylor, McBroom and Caddy?? not featured on the Colts list for the 07 season, but beeing replaced by equal if not better class with the likes of Wittmar, Lindsay, Chisnall and McGregor with Caddy still in question??
That leaves no vacancies in the team that took home the silverware in 06.
Apart from the obvious beeing injury which may open the gate in 07 for a select few of these youngsters to get a chance to make there impression on senior footy, the only option Rock07 has to fit these young guns in stacked roster of 22 in 07 will be to push a few of the veterans aside who may not be up to it in 07.

Clarke: Will be as good as 06 if not better!
Jacobs: Class act good leader will play important role in 07!
Webb: Getting on in age, cant say the same for his footy!
Bracken: Fitness always a big question!
Stevens: Classy veteran, hard at it, respected leader especially with the youth of the club, plays a big part in player development!
Chiller: The KING of unrewarded running! Has the fitness, with the list in 07 cant see him playing a big role in the 22! Questionable
Good signs at the Colts for the 07 season with such young quality depth the Div1 seconds with be hard to beat in 07. The inclusion of the young talent into the reserves in 07 that Fan made mention of suggests the Colts may go one better than than last year beeing knocked out by Spotty in the prelim! Note: Seconds battled injury to key players in 06! Will be a quality side in 07!

Who gives a rats a r s e what they get paid. Worry about getting the football and beating them. If Rock says one thing about payments than what is true then it's probably because its never clear cut and no ones business really anyway. So put your energy into getting a kick foxxy.
