Missing - Albion players and supporters. Cameron Barker is a class player and Dorwood tried hard all day whilst Coach Savalas set the example before the 2nd half bounce by dropping a Spotty player in the centre of the ground. During his 15 minutes off the ground Spotty kicked 5 to one. On his return he sulked in the fwd pocket for the remainder of the game as Spotty, playing disciplined football recorded a 104 point victory. Round 10 should be interesting with the top 6 playing each other. Spotty travel to Hoppers Crossing, Port Melbourne Colts to Sunshine and StAlbans to Albion. Might sort a few things out ??

Was only a matter of time until the bubble burst. And from the scoreline it has burst hard.
Albion's only problem has been their discipline. Hopefully they can sort it out because they look like a good side to challenge this year.

Ill tell you what happened i was 10 metres away logan hit the player in question first then the player knocked him straight out the ball was at the other end & spottswood fc laid the report so dont go labelling parkside laggers
As for the other incident not enough information in 2004 at parks there was an all in just before half time when steve savalas nearly knocked bugeja out. bugeja was seen with blood pouring out of his beek talking to the umpires after the fight gees i wonder what he was telling the umpires ?

I believe the Logan incident you are refering to was at Parkside right in front of the clubrooms?
SFC did not lay the charge , Terry O'Donnell umps advisor was on the fence 3 mtres away, he did I believe.

rock07 you where right about what you said regarding the game spotty V albion keep butina to two goals and albion don't have really any major goal scorers well they did that and we got smashed spotty played fantastic footy harris had a lazy 51 touches B.O.G and cracker's kicked a lazy 6 from CHF! it's killing me not been able to play!!!!!! how'd you go?

Well spotty our a great outfit, but no doubt this will do the cats the world of good. As i said when you have a loss you have a look at areas your team are little weak and you can work on certain things. Albion are a good team and i'm sure they will bounce back.
As for how i went, got 6 in the first half but didn't kick a sniff in the second, but we had a great team perfomance kicking 42 goals, the boys really shared the ball well, the games against bottom teams canget hard as players start becoming selfish but over the last few weeks the boys are playing well as a team.
Looking fwd to the break now and a chance to rest the old body.
When you back???

42 goal's not bad as for me should be back after the break not sure if i'll have a run in the magoo's or go straight back in but after yesterday you would think maybe stairght back in? i have never missed so many game's before very keen to get back in to it

FOOTYSTAR, could you give us a run down on the match?
Harris having a whopping 50 touches just shows what a class act he is. Was anybody not tagging him???

Some big games after the break spotty/hoppers should be a classic and with the boys from hogans rd back in form, i think they will push spotty all the way and at home mite just get the points.

ST.ALBANS/ALBION will be another classic and like hoppers the saints are in very good form, the cats will be under pressure for the first time to win a game to hold top spot, so let's see how they respond to a loss. Good sides respond so let's just see how this unfolds.

COLTS/SUNSHINE will be another great game and although the kangas are not inform they will be looking to get their season back on track and in the home and away season have a good record against us so, so it should be a tough game.
TRAVVY what's happened down there????

Great display of hard running and pressure footy by the boys yesterday, dont think albion had a winner anywhere on the ground. harris had the ball on the string and we had to many scoring options up forward which the same couldnt be said for albions forward line. Albion started well and where still close at half time but after there coach got sent off at the start of the third for a cheap shot they did not put up a fight. If albion where tagging harris the bloke should get a new job cause he was no where to be seen. I also told richie your advice and it must of worked he kicked 3.3

when logan got knocked out the person that did it went up to bugja and hold him that he was next the poor bloke went white, so I doubt it that bugja threw a punch he's a coward

Don't think it was a punch Bale. However cowards have also been known to kick, elbow, snipe, king hit and knock blokes out. So I don't think that being a tough nut is the only pre-requisite for putting someone on a stretcher.

Toe to toe punch ups, putting your head over the footy and a good hip and shoulder are good measures of toughness or bravery. The other stuff is for cowards.

I hear that the bloke who copped the cheap shot didn't play a bad game after that. He must have had the cobwebs rattled out by the shot and should have bought the coach a beer after the game.
Are you sure Harris got 50 touches? Has he got a personal statistician or does count them himself?

The last month has been quite disappointing. There was a smashing from Albion, a win against Altona (in the wet kicking 10 goals 20 points), a defeat from hoppers and then the loss on the weekend by two points hurt.

The break has come at a good time to rest up some sore bodies and get some injured players back up and running.

At the moment, the twos are flying along which is great. Up to 10 senior and Solid reserve players to come back within the next two weeks which is only going to make the twos stronger again.

Enjoy the break.

Well pete i do know what i'm talking about...i think...very drunk atm.
Well done to spotty.
I have just left star bar and have been with ke;m and my old mate dicko.
KELM is a fu cking ledgend one of the nicest blokes i have met in footy and the young fellow can play always has a crack and will only get better, i think he will be with werribee next season if he is interested and mite even go higher.
As for dicko the bloke is a gun on and of the field, but he does need to stop the solariums....fu ck he loves himself for a sunshine boy....hahahhhaha
I'm gone no wonder the missus makes me stay home.

yes, well... spotswood are definiatly going to be the team to beat. they had everything on the weekend, speed, strength, fitness, you name it!

harris was everywhere, also kelly and o'keefe dominated as well. after half time they demoralised us!

there is a lot of things we need to work on down at the cattery, and I hope when we have a crack at them again in round 18 we have improved some what significantly and can have a good challenge, the weekends display I don't believe was a true indication of where we are at, at the half way mark, taking nothing from spotswood though, they were very very good!

We had our first bad day. The boys regrouped yesterday at our sportsmans day and rebonded last night.

Spotty were on fire. We kept with them in the second quarter but then lost it when Steve was sent off.

Well done to Aaron Tymms he didn't give up all day. I would think he got BOG for Albion.

i mentioned this last week that Harris was flying and in good form he towelled St Albans up the week before as well.
Obviously someone from Albion was listening to what i was saying.

went to see spotty v albion on weekend and confirmed what i and alot of others on here think. albion are simply no good away from home. i cant see them finishing in the top 3 as they play colts, hoppers and sunshine all away, and them 3 teams are the hardest "road trips" in the wrfl id think.

as for the game, spotty were brilliant and i believe are miles ahead of any other team in the comp. they had a few vfl listed players playing, who will only be one game wonders, but still there best players were all guys who play reguraly in the seniors. harris was good, didnt think he had 51 touches, but wont go against the radio stats guy ;). keenan is just so strong on the lead and doesnt drop to many marks. thought a young guy who played wing/hf was brilliant. his name escapes me at the moment.
as for albion, very undisciplined in the second half especially. what was steve savalas thinking....absolutely stupid and not a good example as coach of the footy club when ur under the pump to do something stupid like that is utterly unnacceptable. maybe he thought he was still playing at parkside and could bash whoever he wanted whenever he wanted?? :S

couple of noticeble absentees from the game, none bigger than number 9 for albion knezevic or whoever u spell it and none bigger than mangan from spotty. can anyone tell me whats wrong with these guys and when they will be back??

all in all albion are not a contender this year thats for sure. spotty have one hand and 4 fingers on the cup...

one game dont make winterfella albion were disappointing saturday thats correct in saying that thou every side in top 6 have now had a game or 2 they would love to forget eg spotty vs sunshine?? colts vs alb/ hoppers?? sunshine vs alb??
hoppers vs spotty ?? st albans vs colts?? question for you did or have you written those sides off to ??????

after the 2 point lose on the weekend don't write off sunshine, it was disapointing to lose after having lead all day. hopefully our second half of the season can push us back into finals contention. After albion lost on the weekend I don't think they have what it takes to be top 3, they smashed us by 15 goals on a bad performance yet we have a team that can easily beat spotswood!!!
i think the ladder will be port, spotty, sunshine, hoppers, albion at the end of the season

spotty- they look hot/cold but still show that they are going to be good, and come finals there is no better team
port- a great team, probably our biggest challenge for the flag along with every other sides
sunshine- we will start to find our feet over the second half of the year and really give the ladder a shake
hoppers- can beat or lose to any of the five competative teams, just depends on their day
albion-looked good early, alot of away matches i can only see them betting the bottom 4 sides to finish the year.

Stalbans- just out, even though they got the 4 points, their was a umpire decisions that were costly in the final score plus we didn't really benefit from all our opportunities. They are a good side and will be stiff to miss finals.

can anyone agree with this?

I am just interested in what umpiring decision you are referring to.
it was a good game and it was a massive win from St Albans perspective seeing that we didnt have a bench after half time.

Umpires were ordinary, st.albans were brave, we just butchered the ball too much up forward and didn't play smart enough, however full credit to our blokes never stopped trying. Free kick count in the first half St Albans 19 Sunshine 2 it finished on 29-12. Full credit to St Albans though, can be a very dangerous side come second half of the year.

I totally agree with you Albion are pretenders. But I feel for Zavalas Ive got no doubt that idiot holding the white board gets in his ear, I thought Steve was better than that. back2back here we come.

Both teams were very brave and either could have piched it in the end and it was a game full of mistakes but i think that alot had to do with the pressure on the ball carrier. I just dont think Sunshine have found a right balance yet and players like Linton and Connors were getting moved around everywhere and were finding it hard to get into the game, i think these 2 players are the barometre for Sunshine.

I don't believe spotty are miles ahead they are the most talented, but very very beatable as we and sunshine have proved.
Albion will bounce back, but it will be tough for them to hold on to that top 3 spot a win against st.albans in two weeks is a must.
Was savalas reported??
