Travvy explain to me why you pointed out that you beat us last year at home???? You played us at home this year and lost, isn't that more relevant. Either way it will be a good game.

Each have their relevance, their degrees vary though you are right.

Correct, it will be a good game.

Let's look ahead to some big games this week and talk some footy.

HOPPERS v spotty now this game could go either way obviously but i'm tipping spotty after a geat win over albion. good chance to see where hoppers are at.

st.albans V ALBION. They cats have been the form team and after a minor hiccup last week they will prove they are a top side and win by 5 goals. butina to kick 6

sunshine V COLTS - should be a great game, colts talls my be too much for the kangas

Well it has been a slow couple of weeks on bigfooty, maybe a few nervous people out there with some big games coming up.
Travvy how's the side looking???
Ours is strong but still not as strong as we would like, no masis still, millen to come back through the two's and my old body needs another week off.
We have plenty of depth and the 21 we are sending out is as good if not better than we have sent out this year.
Good luck to all, hopefully no injuries.
GO COLTS!!!!!!!!

I'll talk to you Rock! Will you have to return from injury through the reserves?

Not while I'm coach guaranted senior player.....just kidding.
My form has been pretty good and i'm sure the opposition would still make sure i take a key defender, so as long as the lay off is not to long i should come straight back in but i would happily play reserves. I love playing and when the senior career is finished i will play reserves for a few years other wise i will end up huge.

If spotty or any other club are on a bigfooty look out i find it a bit over the top, it's all a bit of fun and whatever is written on here on a personal note i wouldn't take to serious or even if players are talking themselves up or bagging the opposition it is harmless and once the game starts what has been written on bigfooty is surely forgotten about, i know from the colts point of view it is. Our motivation to win games comes from with in and our competitive spirit aleays hold us in good stead.
Get back on big footy....i'm bored.

Lance Whitnall-like.
Well have you ever been involved in a fight from what has been said on Bigfooty, or people looking for square-ups?

A Spotswood Bigfooty lockout?

No lock out at Spotty that I know of.

Probably focusing on tomorrows game should be a cracker as long as the rain holds off. Not sure how Hoppers ground has come up since they shut it for a couple of weeks.

Close to same team that played against Albion except Barling.

O'Keefe committed to next year contrary to rumour.

Szalay back from o/seas, Shane Tobin back , Theodore & Mangan 3 or 4 weeks away. Ian "scratcher" Allen getting itchy feet after being runner for frst half of the season...........

I heard as much about Ian. No point Scratcher playing magoos. He should come back and play the 2nd half of the year at North Footscray!

Is the top 3 set???

Hoppers had a real crack yesterday and held a slight lead during the 3rd quarter but spotty had to much run in the end. With hoppers now 2 games and alot of percentage behind the top3 it will make it very hard for them to get the double chance.
In sunshines case i think finals might just about be out of question all together, they really played with no passion and had no desperation at the contest. I personally thought sunshine were in for a better year, however yesterday they were terrible and the final score flattered them along with our bad kicking in front of goal. sunshine will need to win 2 of 3 away against spotty, hoppers or albion it will be very difficult they way they are playing.
The cats bounced back after being humilated last game, which shows alot of character and their not on top for nothing, top 3 is almost guaranteed. Looking forward to taking the cats on this week.

All seems a bit quite on the Western (RFL) Front.

A big weekend of games gone unnoticed by all but Rock07. Port Colts and Spotty had wins as I predicted but Albion certainly surprised me the way they have come back from the hiding prior to the break. All credit to them and I see Brad Hewat in the best as well. Will help bolster their midfield. Should be a beauty this week between the Cats and the Colts. Bit early to write the Kangas off yet Rock - 8 games to go.
Must have been a ripper between Altona and West with 37 goals kicked between them. Yarraville Seddon still seem to be struggling. A big loss and a game against Spotty this week. Anyone know who their new Captain is?

Hoppers and Spotty were tight all day. Halfway through the final quarter a couple of undisciplined acts by Hoppers players let Spotty in for a cupla goals and they went on from there. Mangan, Molan, Patak were missing whilst Shannon had a run in the reserves. Frost did not play for Hoppers and not sure if Crowder did either. Montebruno kicked a bag in the seconds whilst Iordanis was there as well.

Anyone else go to any games ?

Went to the Hoppers Spotty game and was wondering what happened to Brent Walker who was playing his 300th (big write up on the WRFL website by Hoppers)??? Anyone shed some light?

I believe there are a few people at Hoppers that are livered as to why Brent Walker wasnt picked in the one's for his 300th game. Can anyone shed any light.

From the WRFl WEBSITE : Brent could have easily gone to another club or league, but he has been loyal to the club and his friends. Brent, now in his 30’s follows the recent footsteps of Robert Cavka, Dale Dickson, Greg Doyle and Shane Buckingham in reaching the 300 game milestone.

So what are his football plans beyond the ’08 season, “ I’m unsure at this stage what I’ll do next year, I’ll just wait and see”.
Hoppers Crossing Football Club has been very fortunate to have a loyal player such as Splinter at their club. Lets hope the club and players repay him by making his day a special one this Saturday against Spotswood.

Well done Splint.

Hoppers Crossing Football Club. (WHAT A QUALITY CLUB HEY??)

West Footscray up at half time, Altona what happen there Future29?

worst ive seen sunshine play yesterday seem like they lacked leadership someone to put there hand Mentha had a crack along with quinn. There strenght in the past was there midfield which was well down Comer is a big loss. Colts very pretty good yesterday in every line pressure was awesome. Howse fits in very well down there his footy compliments our side.

West very undisciplined again. After half time gave away at least 15 50mtres or downfields which resulted in at least 8 goals and had a couple of send-offs. A poor display with the game there for the taking.

we were also very disapointing on saturday lucky to win in the end. we played just over a quarter of good football, credit to west footscray though they stood tall and will be good in the next few years. does anyone give altona reserves a crack at the flag this year? just outside the 5 with a few players to come in and a few under 18s maybe to get into the mix?? with a very high percentage, with hoppers crossing, albion, glenorden in the nesxt three we could be sitting in the top 3.

Just want to a air some frustration at my club and another who I watched on the weekend. When Yarraville Seddon travelled to Altona in round 9, I left bitterly disappointed seeing my club members selling beer tickets and not supporting other clubs. In a time where all clubs rely on bars sales as a result of higher affiliation costs and player payments increasing far beyond some capabilities it's disheartening, and something which should be prevented or minimized from what I have observed over the last month. This in my eyes shows little respect and to use fund raising as an excuse is not acceptable. How quickly some forget. On the weekend I watched the first half of Albion and St Albans and the saints supporters and seconds players simply walked slab after slab from the car park to their bench area. If this is what local footy is coming to it's a real shame. Are the days of drinking with the opposition teams gone? I was amazed to see St Albans committee allow this after the whole competition supported the first under lights game at Kings Park reserve which would have been a huge money spinner. What are your thoughts?

Played in the seconds. Went well and was chaired off at end of game and interviewed on the radio show by Kevin Hillier. Has played seniors this year and may do so again.

Depends on whether you drop players back to the seconds as some clubs tend to do once their seniors are out of the equation.
