Wallis has been ok coming back from that horrific leg break.

I think the one that goes under the radar is the captain. No where near his 2015 form, where he was the best intercept player in the league.

dogs were garbage after half time. The weather made it a somewhat even playing field in the first half and when it cleared the gulf in class was apparent. That was with several notable absentees for the Crows.

We won 19 games, the equal most.
14th youngest team.
Our midfield had the best contested possession differential in AFL history.
5+ players missing each week. Possibly 12 of our best 25 or so at one point. That meant we had to play games not with depth players, because they were injured too, but our 30th-35th best.
And people still reduce this to "hurr durr 1 month, lucky, umpires".

And the greatest ever free kick differential.

Pretty obvious they didn't. Beveridge did what good coaches do in 2016. He took full advantage of lee-way given to the ball carrier in interpreting incorrect disposal rules. It was open to any club to do it, but you would have had to get first hands on the ball to take advantage.

How come you never mention opposition fans bringing up 2016 as the self appointed governor of what others can post about?

2016 was first bought up in this thread by a Crows fan then a Power fan. Bulldog supporters are allowed to respond to opposition fans turning any thread about the club into a 2016 was a fluke thread. Just like Giants fans are allowed to respond to every Giants thread that gets turned into a they were given to much whinge.

I and many of us accept its 18 months on but if people wish to deny us credits in the bank from 2016 while discussing this year then surely the fact we’ve had the youngest team in the comp every round this season is relevant?

We were crap last night and are only beating average sides but we’re doing that with a much younger side than say Brisbane and Carlton. If they’d won four people would be talking up their reemergence. Can’t help but sense a lot of sour grapes from the likes of the OP.
