Loved the original NFS
Was pumped for NFS 2 but I was severely let down by 1) it seemed to go from picture realistic graphics to.... cartoony style and 2) tracks were average.

NFS III Hot Pursuit was great, my favourite ever PSX game purchase (one of the first new release games I purchased... and did so when Target had 15% off, thought it was a bargain.

IV High Stakes was fun, loved it more for the holden/Ford inclusions (they were in III but only on pc, whereas High Stakes had them in both console and pc versions).

Most Wanted was OK the car chases weren't as thrilling for me.

Preferred Underground 2 over Underground.

Didn't own Porsche Unleashed
Shift was alright

Not long after that the games lost their appeal to me (pro Street, carbon etc felt more like driving in slow motion).

Currently playing:
Vampire Survivors- put in 12 hours on the pc version.

Rocket League
Bouncing between pc and ps5

Modern Warfare 2
Settled on using the riot shield to get some kills.

Racked up 3400 gamer score on Xbox this month. Fun times were had, the ne t person below on my friends list had 2200, while the rest were 800 or less.
NFS III HP was awesome, remember the El Nino?

IV was a lot of fun, one of my favourites. HP2 the best NFS for me.

I seem to have hit the biggest wall on the 4th level

I am not strong enough to last very long :(, I've tried different upgrades (both xbox and pc versions) I think I may need to work on unlocking a stronger character.

I use Poe, Poe is the best. Starting with garlic makes it easy to get a build going.

I need to learn the proper names for the weapons, that's what I called the "forcefield" in the main Vampire Stories thread earlier today :p
Yeah he's a good starting platform to build from. I prefer Gennaro with his knives (feel more comfortable being able to create space between myself and the swarms).

It is a great game in parts but the platform/jumping really turned me off it.

I like the graphics but both Doom 2016 and Doom eternal arn't "DooM" for me :(, targeting different audiences I guess. But I want to run and gun, do things my way. As opposed to having to use certain aspects of gameplay in order to progress. (kinda like being FORCED to use the Batmobile in Arkham Knight).

Midnight Suns is reviewing very well. As someone who couldn't get into XCOM 2 (tbh I didn't give it much a chance), maybe when this is cheap I'll give it a shot.

NFS Unbound impressions are also very good from what I've seen. Improves on NFS Heat. I really enjoyed that game too.
I didn't get into Xcom either but this is made by Firaxis and I'm massive into Civilization. Currently playing through Civ vi again

Wastelands 3 if you have gamepass is another awesome game like this as is Gears Tactics

Fifa 2022

Playing World Cup mode and fell a bit behind with playing in line with the real life schedule. Smashed France prior to the real life game.

Only just resumed progress and had a 0 - 0 draw against Tunisia, both teams had chances, just failed to convert. I had a really good shot that I totally stuffed up (bicycle style kick that went the wrong way diagonally lol). And had 2 open goal chances that were not on target once it was kicked.

Facing up against Denmark, needing a win to progress (France would go on to win against Tunisia, but if Denmark beat Australia I'd be out of the tournament). First minute was a tug of war, then I managed to burst through and score the opening goal.

Reset in the middle and I managed to score two more times to lead 3 - 0 at half time. It rained goals in the second half, took a few minutes to set it up though. But after I scored the fourth goal, the rest just went bang bang bang bang bang like the AI of Denmark rolled over GWS style.

The round of 16 game vs Saudi Arabia was a lot harder. I couldn't get through their defence early on, and they were aggressively going toward my goal and I got lucky with a few key saves. Got the breakthrough goal at the 20th minute, and scored a second goal in the dying stages of the half. Second half starts slow, I end up doing a substitution at the 60th minute, and scored moments after that. Finished the game 3 - 0.

Have the QF against Senegal next.

Started Midnight Suns last night and it’s fine. Card system combat is pretty cool, it’s just getting to it haha.

I’ll give it another go tonight to see if I can get into it.

Has a very PS2 feel to me. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm enjoying it though

Just finished Like a Dragon. Was my first Yakuza game, really enjoyed it. Great story, combat was a bit tedious in parts, as was the constant need for level grinding, but didn't mind it in the end.

Moved on to GoW Ragnarok.

Will play Yakuza 0 after that, then 1-6. Or as much of until I get burnt out by it.

Guardians of the Galaxy. I can see why it has such great reviews. The story is good and the dialogue is top notch, but the combat just feels a little off to me. When the combat is the major part of the gameplay, it just brings the experience down a bit.

Good game but the combat is very surface level and the game is super easy.

Still loving The Witcher 3 but picked up MK 11 Ultimate for dirt cheap and hit it hard on the weekend. This is fantastic. MK XL was great but this adds an RPG element to the game. Love completing towers and exploring the Krypt to get different costumes, gear etc. Haven't even touched the story yet.
