Silent Hill 2 Remake.

I’ve never played a SH game before so I’m a complete newcomer but I bought into the hype and got it! It’s right up my alley (single-player, survival-horror, story-driven etc. and really atmospheric)

I’m finding the combat is pretty challenging, which I suppose isn’t a bad thing, I’m up for the fight. The game also genuinely scares me which is something that very few games I’ve played have been able to do. So many times I really dread what’s out on the street, what’s around the corner and I’m always dreading the next encounter.
What platform are you playing on? Thinking of getting this too.

I was thinking of grabbing Silent Hill 2 on PC, but $102 on steam is steep.

Has anyone purchased a steam key for a game from another website before? Any legit ones?
I've used g2a.com - it's on there for $US55 which is likely about $80 Aus.

Green Man Gaming is 100% legit, safe and my first stop if I don't like a Steam price. Standard SH2 is currently $79.95 there. If I don't find what I'm looking for there I'll usually check g2a then that's as far as I'll dig. I used to get my keys from Online Key Store (not sure if they're still around) and never had any issues at all with keys or payment but they were revealed at one point to be selling keys that were obtained dubiously. Key selling is a murky world.

Loaded wastelands 3 back up and playing another play through of that.
Absolutely great game

Haven't played COD since Cold War but Black Ops 6 looks tempting. Solo campaign really, the only time I do multiplayer is online zombies.

In the exact same boat. Noting since cold war, but I could get around the new COD, even if I suck at online

MW 2019 was my first attempt at rejoining the COD madness after not touching the franchise after my negative experiencewith Black OPS 1 (single player glitches stuffing up the campaign)..... didn't last long (something in the graphics gave me bloodshot eyes, plus the movement felt too jarring), abandoned it early on.

When I heard about MW II I wasn't going to, but I jumped back in and really enjoyed it. Amazing still haven't finished the campaign, but online multiplayer was rad as!! And why I kept playing it for so long was due to one map..... SHIPMENT.

Haven't played it for months, ignored the cash grab that was MW III

I have put down my Police simulator hat and now have a Firefight Simulator helmet on. This one is a bit slower paced compared to even Police Simulator so not sure if I'll commit comparable time to it.

Have put away plucky squire as it doesn't introduce anything new throughout the game and it got boring quickly.

Have been playing a lot of WWE2k24 but have burnt myself out from that.

I'm desperate for an RPG to play whilst I wait for BG3 to get cheap. Any good rpgs for cheap or free on plus/game pass?

Have you been following The Precinct? New police procedural coming out just before Christmas.

I've never heard of it. I don't follow games that much these days outside of the big hard to avoid releases. I just download whatever pops up on PS plus and hope its good. Will keep an eye on this though.

Do you need to have played older Black Ops to understand the story? Cause I haven't played since BO1 and I remember the story being extremely confusing.

BG3 is years away from being cheap. Bite the bullet if you can. Worth every cent.
I know its worth it but in principal I refuse to pay digital pricing. Made even worse by the fact this game has no physical copy. The moment this game hits 80 bucks I'll grab it, but not a cent more.
