I hate the Red Card map at the stadium, and not a huge fan of Lowtown.
My favourite so far is Payback

I haven’t played Red Card yet…but I have played Derelict plenty of times. And I’m not a fan of Scud.

I like that map with the crashed jets but my god is it possibly the smallest map since Shipment.

The Division games are fun. I prefer 1 over 2 soley due to the setting of Snowy New York.

The 3rd game will be critical for ubisoft, they really need a banger.

I say this every time there is a discussion on Division, but it's one of the best "almost there" games. The build crafting is some of the best, the looting is fun and loop is rewarding, but they keep hitting a brick wall with content and the games just fade away. The raids are stupid and there is only so many times you can grind the same missions. The tower in Div 2 was one of the best additions but I think if they make another they need to borrow Diablo's homework and just completely copy the type of content. The rest of Division like the moment to moment game play, setting and lore, environments etc is perfect.

I would love a version of the game with a stronger emphasis on narrative and stripping away some of the more dubious always online elements - you've pretty well captured my general thoughts on it.

What's the skill gap between A15ish and A20? I stopped playing around there for most characters because I was finding myself wanting to jettison runs if I didn't get certain builds happening early.

I moved on from the base game to Downfall but maybe I should go back...

I haven't played any of RGG's games before, so I decided to give Judgment a go. It's pretty fun, though the combat is too button mashy for my liking + I don't like how moving through the open world only involves following quest markers like a drone. I love the setting so far, it's really cozy.

I moved on from the base game to Downfall but maybe I should go back...

I breezed to Ascension 19 then got hit with a halt on Ascension 20 and it took me about 15 hours of constant runs to only beat it yesterday.

I got the two good final bosses on not the final boss with the clock. That's the final piece of luck.

Gonna try the other characters now.

I really enjoy Ubisoft games. I have played every Assassin's Creed up to Odyssey, all Far Cry games except Blood Dragon, all Watch Dogs and both Divisions.

However, their AC and FC franchises are stale. AC Origins was good because they completelyl changed the style of game. Odyssey feels like exactly the same game, just with a different setting. Far Cry becomes a grind when you're doing the same thing over and over.

Division was great. The New York setting and the lore was really spellbinding - especially when I played it again during Covid. It was really a wonderfully executed concept and game.
Division 2 does enough however to build on the first game from a gameplay point of view - and I am not a hardcore player.

The Division 3 will need to improve in every aspect. Players don't want a recycled skin.

Ubisoft need something new and be more consistent in releasing new, quality content.

The jump from AC to AC2 was huge. AC2 was far more polished, and the story was great.
AC3 to Black Flag was similarly wonderful.
I didn't mind Unity, Rogue, and Origins.
Outside of that, Ubisoft seem lazy in-between.

Far Cry 3 was a big jump after 2, but every game after then is hardly groundbreaking.

I wish they'd bring back back Splinter Cell. I really enjoyed those back in the day.

I too love Ubisoft games but don't feel that they're stale. The rumours I've seen of a hard time limit in Far Cry 7 turns me right off.

Comfort food games and I want them to stay that way. Looking forward to playing Star Wars.

AC and Far Cry - their two flagship franchises are stale IMO.
I got to a point in Odyssey where it's just grinding. That's not fun. I'll finish it, but it'll be a relief rather than a joy.

Odyssey is only a grind if you make it a grind.
