I would like to see the club take some risks and trade for key position players that can get us those final wins. We needs to make some big decisions on long time players. MAKE THE HARD DECISIONS.

I want to see more development for our big players. Why cant Skipper be developed to play in the forward line. Eade never gave him a shot all year. At least he is big and will compete more than Minson. If last night was obvious, we need big bodied players to win finals, but we will probably go with this small line up come round 1 in 2010.

We are a team built for the regular season and unfortunately not the finals. Look at the difference in the size of the bodies last night.

I was shattered as everyone was last night and will be for weeks. Perhaps we need to take a step back to go 2 steps fotward.

One other thing. I couldn't sleep like all DOGS supporters and went for a drive out to the Whitten Oval last night after the game. There was about 50 older supporters at the social club/ pokies place at the Whitten Oval having a few drinks. I left at about 1.00 am and walking past the oval I thought I saw a few folks having a drink and a kick on the oval. I guess a lot of us got no sleep last night.

I want to see Boumann, Roughead, Jones and Ayce Cordy and Grant, develop some strength and weight (not Roughead as he needs to develop strength only) and be given a chance to play senior football.

I want to see Wood, Everitt, Lynch, and Reid take the next step and become regulars.

I want to say goodbye to Welsh, Eagleton, Skipper, Aker, and Wight.

I want to draft a couple of fast running outside mids.

I want to see Tommy stay injury free.

I want to see Morris never have to play on a gorilla forward again.

I want to see Barry Hall in the red white and blue.

Agree wholeheartedly with all of that, but would still consider Aker for one more year on a substantially reduced payment.

Lynch isnt playing, sorry memberforever

Aker can go around again imo, but must take a large pay cut.

Maybe a Matt Maguire to take the pressure off Morris?

A lot of work done on disposal, especially kicking for goal on the run, under pressure. How many times this year has this let us down? Griff, Higgins, Ward, Murphy, but not the only ones. They say you can either do it, or you can't, but it must be done better. New kicking coach, who won't change their natural styles but might get their heads around it better.

Get the **** over Wade Skipper. He is going to be delisted, has done nothing on our list in what, 7 years and now people want him to be our saviour? Give me a break

1. Murphy to have a full pre-season
2. Get Barry Hall
3. Eagle, Welsh & Wight to go.
4. Keep Aker
5. One of the pups to be persevered? with up forward.
6. Keep Bill Davoren

we had enough opportunities to win last night without a tall key forward, we didn't take those opportunities therefore not making the most of when we controlled the game. As a result we left ourselves open to the "the rub of the Green" and with no buffer when eventually Stkilda found some momentum and got a few breaks with the umps. Had we been further in front those "the rub" would not have been so crucial.

Stkilda has two of the biggest and best tall forwards yet they managed only 9 goals....just 2 more than us. Riewoldt only kicked 2 goals from marks, so this business that we need a key tall is over rated.

We had enough shots on goal to win it!

No need to panic, we are not far away. A couple of tweaks to the team and we'll be up there again. We have some kids coming through lets just have a bit more faith and not get too head up about Barry Hall.

But when it was there to be won the TALL FORWARD did it, contested mark and pressure in pack situation

Ghost of 85 your missing the point about a tall forward. Its not what Riewoldt did for them its what we are missing.

Dominate the first quarter in general play and posessions. With a key forward example Riewoldt...Dogs kick 6 goals in the first quarter, game over and we march onto a GF. Thats what one or two KEY FORWARDS would have done to our team last night.

We need something more on the build of a Mooney or a Hawkins. They dont need to score heavily, just need to provide that option when we need them. We were the highest scoring team this year, and we didnt have a player over 190cm in our top 10 goalkicking.

Last night the issue was when the pressure was on, we were bombing it into a pack full of Johnson, Giansiracusa and Higgins; all good marks, but not large enough. St.Kilda were bombing into packs of Koshitske, Riewoldt, Gardiner and Dawson at some stages, who are all able to take a large mark due to their size.

We didn't lack a key forward in the first, we lacked it in the last.

An aggressive trading period from our club.

I don't want the club to be throwing its hands in the air for another year over the lack of a KPF. We want one, so pick the right bloke and get him!

The players to watch the vision immediately after last night's match and from the rooms before every single pre-season training session [and before every match in 2010 for that matter].

To me our situation was summed up perfectly in today's Age - somebody's always better than us.

In 1997-98, we were very good, but Adelaide was better, last year Geelong and Hawthorn were better, and this year St Kilda and Geelong.

Next year, we can be the best. We can be the St Kilda of 2009. Higgins, Ward, Gilbee, Cross, Boyd, Morris, Lake, Hahn, Murphy, Cooney, Griffen.

We've got to win the flag next year. By God, we all deserve it.

I'd like to see Shane McInerney walk down Barkly St (or Anderson St or Werribee Plaza or even AltonaGate) with a big sign around his neck :

"Will umpire for food"

I don't need another reason to be bitter but now I've got one. Thanks, Shane you maggot.

I'd also like Barry Hall.

1/ Barry Hall
2/ Big pre-season for the pups.
3/ Get Chris Grant to work as a part time forwards and backs coach with the
young pups, Boumman, Grant , Roughead and Cordy
4/ Minson to learn to take pack marks or crash the packs.

I would like to see the following over summer

1. Big Bad Bustling Barry Hall shaking Rocket's hand as he tries on his new jumper
2. Robert Murphy to replace Scott Welsh as our sweeper down back
3. Easton Wood and Jordan Roughead to get opportunities in the NAB Cup to push for senior selection
4. Daniel Cross to practice his goalkicking and take more shots during the season
5. Try Tom Williams and Andrejs Everitt up forward in preseason
6. Ryan Griffen to become the player that we all want him to be more consistently
7. Josh Hill to work on his defensive side

I want to see Australia kick arse in the cricket and not dish up that same crap they just did in England. Someone tell me when round 1 is ? :)
I dunno but it will be Johnos 350th and i will be crowning this season as the Dog season considering we have a KPF on the sheet we should look a gun team.
