Yeah, it probably would. I guess it just distinguishes the number from the rest of the jumper and gives off a look of the number being laid over the top, rather than the hoops being split to accommodate the number.

I probably would've looked at what Melbourne did with the MCC logo - put the F.F.C. somewhere else, maybe over the heart near the sponsors logo, and not have to worry about any outlining. But I'm not making the decisions. I'm never making the decisions

Out of interest, do you know why it is that North Melbourne have black numbers on their blue and white guernseys?
It's one of the more aesthetically pleasing colour combinations in the league and that just takes away from it a bit, for me.

Have always been black. Only time I'm aware that we had blue numbers on the home jumpers was in an exhibition games against Sydney in LA.

I actually prefer the black numbers, the blue numbers kind of disappear into it.

Yeah, I thought that might be the reasoning behind it. I just love the blue and white colour combination and find the black a little off-putting, I guess.
Love the predominantly blue away guernseys, though, they look fantastic.

Had a chance to buy one from Rebel when I was 13 years old in 2004 but passed it up because I thought they were ugly!
