Too much emphasis on team of champions instead of champion team. No doubt there are better players than some of the blokes in the Cats midfield, but they'd have to do a lot of homework before 'walking in' to the midfield.

This is being fairly conservative, but I'd be confident these guys would get a go over the 'last' midfielder (Corey/Kelly/Selwood):
ADE: Scott Thompson, Simon Goodwin
BRI: Simon Black, Luke Power
COL: Alan Didak
CAR: Chris Judd, Nick Stevens
HAW: Luke Hodge, Sam Mitchell, Shane Crawford
KAN: Brent Harvey
PTA: Shaun Burgoyne, Chad Cornes
RIC: Nathan Foley, Brett Deledio
STK: Lenny Hayes, Luke Ball, Nick Dal Santo
SYD: Adam Goodes, Brett Kirk
WCE: Dean Cox, Daniel Kerr
WBD: Adam Cooney, Ryan Griffen, Scott West

mcmanus is a legend of the afl
the cats would KILL to have him in their team
of course they would maybe not cotchin
no im not you are
There would be plenty of midfielders that could make the starting line up in Geelong's midfield. From Essendon Mark McVeigh is a clear option. In terms of skill Ling could easily be replaced by a more capable midfielder. Corey is easily expendable as are Selwood and Lling. Ablett would stay in the best 6 obviously as he is a brilliant player and Bartel can keep his position as he does his job exceptionally well even if his output is down from last year.
Plenty of midfielders that could slot easily into the Geelong team.
McVeigh is a player from Essendon that would make your teams starting midfield. He is a much better midfielder then Chapman. Much better player actually.
As a unit Geelong's midfield is highly impressive but if you wanted to bring in better players you could replace all of them except for Ablett.
Richo
LOL, no ____ing way. McManus shouldn't even have a spot in the Freo midfield, let alone be able to walk into the Cats midfield.
You would have to be the most stupid, ignorant, arrogant essendon supporter i have ever heard of. Mcveigh is a pretty good player and has improved out of sight.
But lets be realistic he is not fit to tie chapmans shoe laces
