What other memorable moments could be used in a Toyota ad?

They really need to be moments that only need one player involved - so someone taking a run the length of the ground wouldn't really work as you'd need lots of other players to run around.

Id say the whole point would be to use cardboard cutouts (for Micks run anyway).

That would be good! :thumbsu:

And because it would take so long to get from end to the other, it could become a mini-series of ads within itself!

wanna suggest it a 3rd time?

Okay.

Do you went the commentary maybe?

Siren could go any second. Swans need a goal. Nick Davis. Nick Davis. I don't believe it. I see but i don't believe it. Class with a capital C. Four goals from Nick Davis. He has single handedly sent them into a Preliminary Final. Unbelievable football. Unbelievable!

Happy?

materas run down the wing and goal from 50 on the run in 92 grand final:thumbsu:
Kemp comes storming through, across to heady. A delicate little chip to the run of Matera - suddenly the Eagles are alive. MATERA SETS SAIL FOR HOME, AND THE EAGLES HIT THE FRONT!!!

Yeah nah, I think some people are missing the point of the toyota ads, they are all about individual acts of brilliance that win teams the game.

Leigh matthews hitting the friggin point post hardly fits into that, nor does nicky winmar lifter his jumper.

Good examples that I can think of are
1. Peter Matera V Geelong - 1992 "sets sail for home"
2. Leo Barry V WCE - 2005 "Leo Barry you star"
3. Daniel Chick V Sydney - 2006 " kick smoothered.....chick.......HUNTER !!!"
4. Nick Davis V Geelong - 2005 "I see it but I dont believe it"
5. Michael Long v Carlton - 1993
6. Adam Hunter v Sydney - 2005 "Hunter takes the great mark and kicks the great goal"
7. Billy Brownless v Bulldogs - 1994 IIRC "Billy your the king of geelong "
8. Peter Wilson V Geelong - "Like a cork in the ocean"

Note that generally the players that appear in the ads are retired and have been for some time, with the exception of james hird. So I would suspect the older memorable moments to be the first to be made.

No bias evident whatsoever in this thread at all

You're just jealous that your teams finest moment is beating a mediocre Melbourne side on your own patch. :thumbsu: ;)

ON TOPIC - They should get Peter Wilson to do the 'cork in the ocean' goal and offset his lack of 'name value' by having Dennis Cometti at the park doing the commentary.
Could be quite funny seeing him try to kick it over his head.

That said, I doubt they'd use that because he's not well remembered in Victoria.

Leo Barry's mark is an obvious one, Akermanis' goal late in the 2002 final maybe - or 'Billy! you are the king of Geelong!' from the 94 finals.

This would be the next logical one, although will Billy be hesitant about appearing in a Toyota ad considering his Geelong/Ford associations??

Others;

Buckenara kicking the goal after Jim Stynes runs across the mark (can just see one of the other two guys dressing up as a leprechaun to do this)

Something involving Warwick Capper and his fat ass although they've pretty much covered the speccy with the Jezza ad

Also no idiotic West Coast supporters in this thread either
