I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.

And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

Get the feeling Watson will tank his interview/s with us anyway

skip to 27:05

Given we’ve just taken Long, Liam Ryan is still to come back and with the state of our list I’d say we aren’t overly keen on him anyway. I agree, he absolutely looks like a bloke who would tank his interview… and I hope he does.

The real problem is that if North get pick 3 for the McKay compo, those picks will be 6 and 7.

Reid (Melbourne), Walter (GC matched bid), Curtin (North), McKercher (North), Duursma (Hawks) all gone.

Leaves Watson and Caddy for us? They're the two biggest flight risks in the draft.

We'd miss out on the best player in the draft, and the guy we're really keen on to get what exactly? This is the question people expecting us to trade pick one aren't answering.

Now if North don't get pick 3 and it looks like Curtin will slide to 5, then there might be a reason for the Eagles to consider it.
Curtin won't slide to five so that ideas gone.. again there's no reason for WCE to trade pick 1, we have other picks to use to draft in more kids, we don't need extra picks, we just need to get the best players available.

It's creeping to what the Eagles would want.

If Demons get to draft night 4, 5, 11 and F1 they'll get antsy.
It would depend on what was going back but I can't see us saying no to that.

Package up 4 or 5 with pick 11 for North's pick 2.

Go to draft with 2 and 5/6/7 (Walter bid, North comp) and keep Melbourne's F1.

Would be the largest bounty ever offered in a trade. With nothing going back, I'd do it. But we'd probably need to throw in 18 at a minimum. Then I'm not sure.

Was watching this and had to turn if off after the Curtin discussion.

'Perfect' pick for WCE. I guess their 'analysis only goes as far as looking at where a player is from.

Jeez more draft "experts"
Pick 2 and ports 16 (20ish) probably gets it done they reckon.
"Curtin is a perfect pick for the Eagles because the ball spends a lot of time in defense" 🤦‍♂️

Eagles have a better defense then North and lack ball winning mids while North have a better midfield and need defenders. Yet we trade down for Curtin and a pick in the 20's? Am I living in bizarro world.

Hahaha it’s rough isn’t it.

The Prime guy is a moron though, said Western Australian fans only show up when we’re winning and Watson was very disrespectful towards us imo
How dumb are they. Only show up when we are winning. Do they watch any football. And to talk up the SA sides who are way more non footy state then us. If Port were down the bottom be lucky they get 5000 show up to a match. They almost folded last time they were down the bottom. North aswell. Eagles get 60000 this year each game. I'm offended. Hope that shithead does a knee.

We had packed crowds in a wooden spoon year that was almost history breaking bad for our standards and still packed it out.

Can't stand entitled private school boy footy players. This Watson kid looks like the type that had everything handed to him. Doesn't deserve to be in the AFL with that response.

These two guys sound like a couple of idiots that have no idea what they're talking about, just name dropping and talking because they like the sound of their own voices.

Balanced article up to the last sentance...

I would say until the last two sentences. Article says Curtin could be the long term replacement for Hurn. After comparing Reid to Judd, would a club give up Judd for Hurn? As much as I love Bunga, that's very unlikely.

I heard a totally different scenario...

Would the eagles trade pick 1 for picks 4 and 5?

Interesting... People should listen to this from the 6 minutes and 50 seconds onwards....

Demons doing a massive plan to get pick 1.

1st move....

trade Grundy , pick 24 and 34 to the swans for pick 11, 30 and 41.
that leaves the demons with 5, 11, 15, 30, 41 and 89.

2nd trade, trade 15, 30 and 41 to Gold coast for their pick 4.

Then trade picks 4 and 5 to the eagles for pick 1.

No

I like Melbourne's creativity but

You would expect Curtin and McKercher, especially, to be gone by then.

That's a dud draft for WCE.
