I've had enough of all of these kents already.

Nothing would satisfy me more right now than drafting H.Reid and watch him kick a bag against the tin-rattlers.


And anyone else wanting to entertain splitting the pick in this massively compromised draft needs to give themselves an uppercut as well.

Pick 2, 14 and 19 would probably get Eagles to the table.

I can tell you right now if North get pick 3 and they offer WCE 2,14,19 that the WCE will accept that for pick 1.

When 14 ends up being 20 and 19 ends up being 26 or so, no I don’t think we’d accept that. Guess we’ll have to wait and see though.

Things have gone a little quiet and I'm only putting two and two together that North aren't stoked about what they have or will be getting for McKay.

I'll ask some more questions after the compo is confirmed I think.

I really can’t see us settling for anything less than two top 10s and a late first.
Twomey was saying on gettable north are chasing pick 10 if they can’t get GCs pick. I think 2, 10 and 20 gets it over the line, but can’t see Norf doing that unless mckay compo is band 1 as comes across reckless otherwise.

If North get 10 they will use on Murphy (or O’Sullivan in the unlikely event he slides), ideally they’d want pick 7/8 before compo I think the chance of using 10 to trade to one is zero. They’ll use to (perhaps) trade up a couple of spots to get O’Sullivan.

Need to remind the victorian plants in this thread sometimes, downgrading to 2 and a couple of nothing picks that will end up in the 20's is not going to cut it. Not sure why they so desperately want us to give up Reid.

With a potential 5-7 FS/ academy players north end of first round / Mackay compo and STK with gresh keeping pick one is even more vital our first second round pick likely gets the 26-28th best player available

So we're downgrading Reid to either a flight risk or CHB, and getting 2 picks which would be less than a heads or tails of getting a decent role player. It isn’t going to happen as no way Nth would offer it, but 2,3,5 for 1+19 would be an offer too good to refuse.

Curtin plus
Pair the Tassie boys or Duursma plus the left over Tassie boy (whoever Hawks don’t take).

No way in the world it is offered, but that is too good to refuse.

Personally I am really happy taking Reid instead of anything less. At a pinch I’d swap #5 for their 2024 1st, but again there is no way they offer (or the afl let them) that much.

Curtin hasn't done much at all. I'm not seeing this ceiling you are talking about. Been watching his matches closely for the past 6 months. His going to take a bit of time I'm afraid to get to AFL standard. 3 years minimum before we can even reap some rewards out of him.

And you forgot Reid. Who has by far the highest ceiling in the draft by a long margin if we are going to go there.
