I got tickets to the 99 RWC semi final at Twickenham between Australia and South Africa later that year which was just as epic going into extra time.

No phone photos or videos back then to show I was there, just my ticket which is either buried away in storage somewhere or most likely lost altogether.
That was Jannie de Beer channelling his inner Naas Botha wasn't it?

Yeah Janie de Beer was on fire with his kicking back then, from memory he knocked England out of the quarter finals with his drop kicks and penalties.

In the semi final he kicked another drop goal and also kicked a penalty from the sideline just in front of us to level the scores and take it to extra time.

Larkham then kicked a drop goal from close to the halfway line in extra time to win the game, no tries in that game but it was still an amazing contest.

Like the Australia v South Africa Cricket World Cup semi final it really should have been the final as the actual final ended up being a let down after that.

Listen I know your not an idiot but I went on to make the commentary about the experience.

Ask those people in Salt Lake City about the shot and 80% would be able to close their eyes and describe Jordans movements and the feelings in the crowd etc

The people at LeBrons game would struggle to tell you if you took their phones off them

Camera phones have killed the career of professional photographers and paparazzi

Paparazzi maybe but professional photographers still take better shots than dropkicks with a phone as they get exclusive access and have proper skills.

surely there were crowd members who told their cohorts they were there that day (it couldve been me!)
It never occurred to people to constantly share their whereabouts or activities. Or their meals in restaurants. That’s only come along as the phone cameras improved, as mentioned above. Even now I keep forgetting to snap something I should.

If there was no paparazzi we’d never know of Fergie’s secret love

Cheesecake?

Even as a kid in the 80s I could tell her marriage with Randy Andy wouldn't last, the same with Charles and Di, they both looked doomed from the start.

This was my favourite comedy show in the early 80s.

Back in the good old days before the PC police put an end to the fun, no woke w*nkers back then.

I was one of the few people that hated Crocodile Dundee because Hoges sold out to Hollywood.

I just wanted him to keep making politically incorrect Paul Hogan shows with sexism and racism.

I do feel for wedding photographers. These days theyll often tell people to put their phones away as it ruins a lot of the photos having their phones in the way.

You’d walk past dog s**t and it would be white

You’d go for a walk or ride and see dogshit on the grass. A few days later it turned white.
White dogshit was a thing

Some people reminisce about past loves, music and film but appears Billy Ray looks back fondly at other things :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Were there diets different? I always assumed that people just didn't pick it up.
Im also sure that i remember whenever eating bacon rashers there used to be two small white bones which you’d cut out. But that’s gone now. Has science genetically engineered away that pig bone?
Completely forgot about this!
Oh yeah those little nuggets.
