This was my favourite comedy show in the early 80s.

Back in the good old days before the PC police put an end to the fun, no woke w*nkers back then.

I was one of the few people that hated Crocodile Dundee because Hoges sold out to Hollywood.

I just wanted him to keep making politically incorrect Paul Hogan shows with sexism and racism.

I always think of the Hogan Show more from late 70's. Kind of forgot it probably was still running in 1981ish or 82. It was compulsory viewing as was the Irish Dave Allen. Benny Hill show was just bloody silly but never knew until recently Olivia Newton-John'd older sister was one of the regular models on his show.

Yeah, we lost Hoges for rest of 80's to the Yanks and their more lame version of comedy movies Hoges did.

Kind of makes me glad Cold Chisel never bothered to deep dive in American market as Yanks would have tried to change their style of music and song writing to an American market. The boys left and came back here and continued their focus on music for their Aussie market. Yanks would have tried to mellow them out and sound more like Foreigner. Let the Paul Hogan example of movies like Almost an Angel remind us sometimes it not all cracked up to be to go overseas and crack the bigger USA market.

I remember eating Savoury Shapes when they tasted good as a kid. Now they taste bland so no longer bother.

I still get them, they are just ok.

I used to like the old In A Biskit range. They had a bacon one which was great as well as a crispy potato one which sounded wrong but actually tasted pretty good

As a kid, I was addicted to Milo.

I would have half a cup of Milo, and half milk, then stirred. Tasted like heaven, I would have at least 2 cups most days when I got home from school.

So glad they changed the recipe a few decades ago, though, otherwise I'd still be indulging in it and I'd be a few stone heavier.

You would go to shops and buy the original milo bar. Compressed milo in a chocolate coating.
GOAT bar.

Bring it back ffs

It really was ths GOAT. The explosion of dusty milo in your mouth was amazing.

Why they changed it to a poor mans Chokito ill never know

I'd argue nothing's changed, drag has been around forever. Conservatives have just got considerably more stupid over the journey.
It’s moved on from adult entertainment though, don’t you think? Be careful calling people stupid.

This is just packeted biscuits and similar snacks in general. Portion sizes smaller, replacing ingredients and/or loading up with artificial flavours etc. to extend the shelf life and most now taste like cardboard.

I've moved onto Jarrah Hot Chocolate drink in recent years. Think as a kid more into Ovaltine and things like Milo bars or Ovaltinees were gimmicky choc bars but pretty bad.

Costs of production, ingredients and everything has gone up so much. Corners have to be cut 🙁

I used to have the ovalteenies when I was in primary school, just seen they are still available

taste buds change as you get older as well - so not surprised you dont find things as enjoyable as you did when you were a kid (plus memories can be misleading to how good they really were or tasted)

you can be told how good/bad things are when you are a kid and you'll believe/agree with it - then you grow older and learn to think for yourself how things are better or worse than what you've always been told.

Not with Savoury shapes. I can distinctly remember what they tasted like but they taken out some of the ingredients and way it made that some of the "bad stuff" that been removed has it end up tasting way more bland but more heatlhy....I want the bad stuff.. ha ha
