This was my favourite comedy show in the early 80s.
Back in the good old days before the PC police put an end to the fun, no woke w*nkers back then.
I was one of the few people that hated Crocodile Dundee because Hoges sold out to Hollywood.
I just wanted him to keep making politically incorrect Paul Hogan shows with sexism and racism.
I always think of the Hogan Show more from late 70's. Kind of forgot it probably was still running in 1981ish or 82. It was compulsory viewing as was the Irish Dave Allen. Benny Hill show was just bloody silly but never knew until recently Olivia Newton-John'd older sister was one of the regular models on his show.
Yeah, we lost Hoges for rest of 80's to the Yanks and their more lame version of comedy movies Hoges did.
Kind of makes me glad Cold Chisel never bothered to deep dive in American market as Yanks would have tried to change their style of music and song writing to an American market. The boys left and came back here and continued their focus on music for their Aussie market. Yanks would have tried to mellow them out and sound more like Foreigner. Let the Paul Hogan example of movies like Almost an Angel remind us sometimes it not all cracked up to be to go overseas and crack the bigger USA market.
