IMO it serves no purpose in sacking the coach now. Maybe if most the loses had been 10 goal plus defeats but sacking Buckley now isn't going help next year any better regardless what happens at the end of the year.

Will end up like the dogs.
McCarthy couldn't get them to gel and play well.
Bucks has definitely got games into the team and we have some makings for sure.

Now we need to bite the bullet and get a finishing coach to get the best out of the team.

I think he is too clinical and not open to other suggestions.
He appears to have tried to bond with the players but it comes across as fake when the players came out earlier in the year.

If the players were in it I think some of our results would of been a bit different.

We either win in a tussle or snaffle defeat from the jaws of victory.

We are poor disposal wise and have been for many years.

Our game plan just doesn't seem to work and still it is persisted with after continually falling further down the ladder.

He is definitely determined/stubborn and in the end will be his undoing unfortunately.

When was the last game we won by 8 goals?

When was the last time we strung 3-4 goals together without getting any scored against us?

I miss the days when we could get a run on and kick quick goals and hurt teams.

Seems like a very distant memory now.

It certainly hasn't been enjoyable for a long while now. Every week is a grind. Even when we win. There just doesn't seem any flair. One notable high draft pick's parents told me Buckley wants them all playing like robots which simply doesn't work with 22yos. Buckley seems such an astute guy, I keep waiting for him to learn. But I think there's just a gulf between he and mere mortals.

Re: Eddie, it worries me he just seems to own the place. He's done amazing things, but if he's gen t wrong, is there anyone really capable of tapping him on the shoulder? I suspect not.

The board's fate should be very much tied to the success of Buckley. If he fails they should all be moved on...5 foot operations managers in 5 years. That doesn't help.

There is nothing to be gained sacking a coach so early on. If we are out of finals contention by midyear I'd consider maybe putting Burns or somebody similar in charge for the rest of the year, see how they go.

We just can't seem to get it together to get over the line. Fourth loss by under three goals. A couple of tweaks may all be what it needs. Giving an eight meter handball instead of a 2m handball; play one a little deeper to stop the kick over the top; play someone a further forward to lead at the ball and create an option up ahead; kick straight from a set shot in goal.

May be a bit of a communication breakdown in the delivery v players understanding.
