What would a Dutton Liberal leadership mean for the Liberals and the country?

So Dutton tried to argue today in his presser that:
  • ALP broke an election promise by restructuring S3 tax cuts to deliver a tax cut to all rather than the top end
  • Restructuring was bad policy that has made Albanese's leadership 'terminal'
  • New tax cuts for low and middle earners, despite saying they shouldn't be happening, also aren't doing enough
  • That only LNP can deliver lower taxes to more Australians (despite legislating the original stage 3 tax cuts and now opposing wider cuts)
  • Calls for an election, but won't commit to reverting new changes to S3 tax cuts if they are elected
This is genuinely incoherent, brazenly contradictory, toxic opposition. Feels like the Abbott years in opposition all over again.

lol terminal to whom?

This really exposes quite clearly how the LNP don’t give a shit about anyone apart from the Uber wealthy, but somehow claim they are for the battlers.

Won’tt anyone think of the teals?

Teals can get ****ed. Just wealthy virtue signalling w***ers. Like the corporate Dems in the US. The kind of people who think if they get a gay/black or trans person to implement the same conservative economic policies makes them “progressive”.

Um it’s betoota so not actually serious article; I haven’t heard any “teal” voters come out complaining (a couple of real representatives have had mixed messages, some talking out the high income earners others about the middle income earners)

If it’s Kooyong, most of the teal voters were preciously labor green or ind. Top bracket is still most likely liberal voting

Or anti-ScoMo/Dutton LNP voters.

Not a Teal, but Zali Steggall leaning towards LNP -aligned commentary. Although Sky seem to think she's a Teal:

She's a Warringah Teal.

A different breed altogether.

Warringah is full of ratbags so Zali's the best we can hope for where they're concerned.

The other thing with Steggall is of all the Teals she’s the only one that’s been re-elected, and she also holds her seat on a very commanding margin over 60% 2PP. The other Teals are between 50-55%.

So she’s pretty much sewn up Warringah until she retires, whereas the other Teals will have to work hard to prevent becoming one hit wonders.

Dutton will do much of their work for them.

And Zali Steggall is fighting the Liberals, not Labor. There is nothing for her to be gained by publicly supporting Albo.

Yeah, Dutto is the one under the scrutiny of Oz taxpayers...

I would strongly advise you to keep away from the medicine and shaving cabinets come the election.
still waiting for you to explain what you mean by this one

Errr, you don't know what sort of nasties can be found in these?
why were you telling someone to keep away from their medicine and shaving cabinet on election night

Errr, because the left don't take bad news well.

Watching the first instalment of Nemesis on ABC demonstrates a pretty clear contrast between Abbott's ruthlessly effective opposition and Dutton's undisciplined, meandering stint in Oppo so far.
Labor's reforms have been a slow burn, so LNP has been baited into opposing common sense and broadly supported changes to superannuation and tax cuts. Effectively every time Dutton goes on the attack he slides in the polls.

Abbots puppet master Peta Credlin the disciplinarian. Pity neither could lead in policy
