Maybe the crazies think that they'll find somebody who looks normal and has a profile (like Groth) who will champion their crazy ideas, but also not look as crazy as them.

Unfortunately at some point, Groth is going to have to choose between following what the crazies in the party want and being able to actually get elected in a majority of seats.

The crazies think they can sneak their crazy policies into Govt if only they'll find a leader who can appease them and also convince the voters that they won't do this crazy stuff if they get elected.

The state deserves a better opposition than this lot. Swapping an experienced Pesutto for an inexperienced Groth is going to make this worse. How is a political novice supposed to manage the near-impossible position of leading the dysfunctional Victorian Libs?

I unequivocally think John Pesutto should remain leader, and those briefing against him should immediately stop doing so.

It's funny, I don't recall Pesutto mentioning the behaviour of the media when they were interviewing stair-cases or making assertions about car crashes which made no sense. Didn't stop LNP people at the time jumping on them like they were good questions.

Perhaps the LNP jumping on every stupid Herald Sun story they ran as if they were credible wasn't the smartest idea now that the stupid questions are aimed at them.
