What would a Dutton Liberal leadership mean for the Liberals and the country?

Very few of these problems started on Albos watch, yet Dutton seeks to call them labor problems.

So will we see any detail beyond motherhood statements?
11 of the 12 past interest rate hikes under Albo and continued high government spending has ensured inflation remained sufficiently high for the RBA not to reduce interest rates.

I see you have overlooked a couple of budget surpluses - something the Liberal premature ejaculators could never achieve

9 of those 11 came before Labor's first budget, when we were still operating under the numbers from the last Liberal budget. Inflation has come down at basically the same rate as the US since it's peak as well.

this is the thing i find hard to comprehend when conservatives fill their diapers with outrage .... a lot of economic indicators have time lead-ins where the trend-line logic is already baked in (often years in the making)*

if conservatives are going to lose the lunch over this then they should be calling for tony, malcolm, scott and joshs head on a plate

* housing affordability a case in point

I doubt voters will remember or give a shit about budget surpluses come election time. Hasn’t done a thing to ease the cost of living crisis, has it?

It has, it is just hard to see unless you are at least somewhat literate in economic theory.

Which means as a vote getter it really does nothing.

But the flip side of that is that if rates do come down after the next meeting in the middle of the election campaign that those same voters will jump back on board.

I can't help but feel that a major part of Labor's strategy hinges on interest rates being cut.

Risky.

Budget surpluses are the biggest load of shit. It’s creative accounting at its finest.
All people care about is cost of living.

Despite apparently electricity prices coming down ours hasn’t moved, a regular grocery shop for a family of 5 is somewhere between $300-$350 per week. Insurance premiums are rising. Don’t seem to be getting much relief anywhere. But govt budget is in surplus?? Woopty Doo.

The mother of all motherhood statements

If you are so sure you are the best saviour of Australia (since scomo at least) tell us why Dutton old chap

In fact he’s just upping the trumpism. It really is a stark choice, do you want someone who sees himself as a trump type?

‘Sliding doors’: Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says he is Australia’s last chance for salvation
Clearly he's seen an opening in the market and trying to attract the disenfranchised.

It has eased it by not making it significantly worse. There's a difference between worse and much worse. Labor are not hammering this point home often enough because they are scared of the backlash they might receive. Things were always going to take a little while to get better just like everywhere that has had high inflation.

You know how your saying your electrical bill hasn't moved that means your are better off mate. You weren't seriously thinking it was going to come down? If your power bill goes up from the year before your worse off. How is saying it hasn't moved brought you to that same conclusion? You seem to be looking at things like this like a simpleton which probably supports your right wing view.

My electricity bill has come down heaps - August bill cost 0$, November bill cost 0$
And there's still $442 credit sitting there for the next bill which should be in February lol

So instead of paying 100 bucks extra your paying 20 bucks extra. Think the Derp should be heading your way " I'm worse off god dammit!!" Bloody Albo ruining my life!" 😂.
