Caught up with the Hunger Games movies, having not read any books. I hear people are disappointed with the third one, whilst the second movie to me was ridiculous. A whole movie where the premise was to revolt against the leaders and right when they are about to... the movies ends.

Movie two should have been named part 1 of 3. Money grabbing twats!

Finally got around to watching Guardians of the Galaxy.

Enjoyed it a lot and I was particulrly impressed that at no stage did the move take itself seriously. It was a pisstake from start to finish.

7.5/10 for me.

2nd one was good!

Nightcrawler

Great acting, cinematography and engaging throughout. I thought the first half was a little too 'high concept' and as such the narrative seems to be slow to develop and was ultimately a bit thin.

I think the scene where his is watching the cops / crooks at the restaurant was great though. Plenty of tension. Most of all it felt intense becasue of the way it was all framed from a 'reality' point of view. We see much more full-on action scenes than this in movies but the realistic way this played out, without the excessive noise and cutting every two seconds gave this a chilling reality that had a great impact.

I thought it got better as it moved along as it became more about the character and less about the concept. Raised a few moral issues as well.

Would have to agree with this. The 1st one was very childish but entertaining enough. The 2nd was good, the start of the rebellion and the actual Games again, 3rd was terrible, the story and characters aren't clever or compelling enough to warrant an action light, dialogue heavy political movie, it was dull, it didnt progress anything and was overall a waste of time.

I agree about the editing. It made a nice change from the jump cut obsession you usually see these days. Good to see scenes get a chance to play out.

I enjoyed Fury for what it was. Far-fetched at the end and won't win any awards but holds its own, some terrific battles.

Saw HG Mockingjay 1 at the drive in, yeah was just like the book. 7/10, the last one will be good. We managed to run the car battery flat there so it became a friggn late night!
Always wondered about that, is that the Coburg drive-in?

Do you have to tune your radio to a station or do they put speakers through your window?

Dandenong. Which reminds me...need to check if my hubcaps are still on.

You just tune your car radio to a station. It was good for something different, I'll do it again.

haha srz ? Tune the radio to whatever frequency they are broadcasting on

Haven't been to Dromana drive-in for ages but have good memories
Getting stoned, smashing down chock tops and watching a movie on a summer night at the drive in is a better movie experience than going to a Village/Hoyts imo
