Hope everyone’s enjoying some of the glimpses of brilliance from the young Blues impressive collection of raw talent. Last night just re-confirmed why the Blues have the most talented younger player group in the AFL by an absolute mile. Murph continues to show off his extreme talent and class, despite heavy opposition attention. He was obviously extremely disappointed after not being able to collect the 2006 Rising Star award because of injury, but now bigger goals await. The primary focus is flags 17 and 18 at Carlton, but I have no doubt Murph will pick up a Brownlow or 2 along the way. The question is not if but when.

He will never win a brownlow...not quite good enough but will be a great player...take special people to win that award even thou there has been the odd dud turn up but i dont think he will

I think you're talking about Deledio who has gone backwards in his third year and is being played in the backline to develop a football brain.

That's the big one I think, he is just too slow to cut it as the best midfielder in his team, too easy for a tagger to get a hold of him at stoppages and run with him around the ground.

He will eventually be an excellent player, but probably in the Scott West mould - will accumulate huge possessions (albeit in a midfield that will be mediocre for some time yet) and AA guernseys, but won't be damaging enough to be a real gamebreaker...and like poor Westy, won't win a Brownlow.
