Sam Kerridge doesn't want him back, going by the AFL News and Discussions page on Facebook.

Josh Jenkins tweets seem to indicate he isn't exactly unhappy that $kurt is gone. That may simply be due to the fact that he didn't really know him well (only played together for a year) and $kurt leaving opens up a spot for him.

I think the vitriol is based on the fact Adelaide would have attempted to send Tippett to Sydney if that was his wish, just he did not have to prevent Adelaide from negotiating the best outcome.

He didn't, Sydney did.

Hence why the heat is getting turned up on them and are getting investigative as well.

Well, potentially it was Tippett or his manager that prevented Adelaide from negotiating the best outcome. Somebody told them about not offering any more than a 2nd rounder.

GWS, by the time their premiership window is open he will be in wind down mode and lucky to get a game

I think we will find, it came from his managers end.

However, if it came from Tippett why would he have the clause if he was just going to change his mind and not enforce it?

It doesn't really what happens or where he goes, you just sense it's going to have a sad sad final chapter sooner or later.

forgetting that, sheedy had a few ruckman play out of full forward in his day.

I vote for The Melbourne Football Club after a suitable deregistration period of a least six months and he has to board with Radiojake for the seeable future. ;)

Sorry to of offended you, interceptor with my "******ed" opinions, i am sure all 345 posts of yours are gems

What exactly is dumb about it, I don't want to offend you again
  • The thought that the AFL would let Izzy out of his contract to free up space in the GWS cap
  • or the Thought that neither Tippett or Folau are natural footballers
Look, maybe I was a bit harsh, but...
Tippett may not be a "natural" footballer, but if you're "not sure which one is the poorer AFL footballer", then I can only pity your judgement.
If you think that the AFL are deliberately orchestrating a Tippett move to GWS behind the scenes, then I can only laugh at your cynicism.
I've got no doubt there would been a 'get out' clause in Folau's contract and the timing is obviously so that GWS have time to re-assess their position prior to the draft.
GWS already said they would consider drafting Tippett, but there's still no guarantee they will.
The whole world knows he wants to be at the Swans.
If he ends up at GWS, you and others with probably feel vindicated about your little conspiracy, but sometimes convenient events do occur and this would just be one of them.

You'll find he was actually looking to play at a club with a positive culture.

I had a look for that quote, is a pretty damning outlook on how some of them view Kurt:
AFL News and Discussions said:
Heard a rumour that Kurt Tippett has made attempts to stay in contact with former Adelaide team mates.

He attempted to speak to Sam Kerridge on twitter, and Kerridge's response was "**** off. You got what you wanted. now go away"

I think the vitriol is based on the fact Adelaide would have attempted to send Tippett to Sydney if that was his wish, just he did not have to prevent Adelaide from negotiating the best outcome.

The vitriol is because he shafted us - not once, not twice, but three times. Firstly by having a ridiculous clause added to his last contract to state we would help him go home at the end of the contract, then by trying to tell us Sydney is now amazingly home. The final insult is when he wasn't prepared to make this a mutually beneficial move - where both parties win. And to think he had people at the club convinced his decision was all about wanting to go home, that because he'd turned down a ridiculously huge amount of money from us, that it wasn't about the money - only to discover that he had been offered even more from a club that wasn't even "home"! It has been handled appallingly by Kurt and blucher. Even down to the 'tell them by text' debacle. Gunston wouldn't have been vilified as much if he'd had the balls to turn up to the b&f and tell his mates in person that he really wanted to go home. Kurt would have won some brownie points for doing the same (and then actually gone home)! they both deserve the fans wrath. They brought it on themselves.

No option for Port Adelaide?

-Would have to stay in SA
-Would be put in the spotlight even more
-Playing in a less successful team in the same state, where if he wasn't a tool he would be playing in the successful team still
-Would have even more of an excuse to flatten him with it being in the Showdown
-Not either of his 2 "homes"
This. It's the worst possible outcome for Kurt. Plus we get to boo him 1-12 times a year.
