Absolutely 100%.

However, some particular designs leave so much to be desired. How the Gold Coast haven't embarked on a rebrand at this point is pretty incredible to me.
That jumper has always just reminded me of a lifeguard uniform sponsored by Sports Tonight.

They should embrace an Adelaide or Bulldogs style horizontal stripe IMO. Anything that will get rid of that GC smack back in the middle.

Someone on here designed this set for gold coast. I love them. Traditional hoop design.

What you wrote that i mark as bold makes no sense :D its a region as in there is only one of those in Melbourne, why we are typing about what does not make sense, whats a blue? :D and more to the point a blue bagger

Well, I wouldn't want our club to be called Northern Blues and I doubt whether Richmond fans would want their club to be called Eastern Tigers. (I might be wrong on that last one though we could do a poll).

Well I might have been mistaken then, i thought we live in a world where we can do things that others don't wish to . :)

Ah hawks fans, overestimating the care factor.

Looks you got to play interstate teams during a time when drafts were compromised, preventing any other team getting stronger.

Well done.
Yeah? Do you remember 1991 when we beat you at Subi to get into the GF, and later the win the cup at Waverley? Have you forgotten about those compromised drafts where WCE were allowed to pre draft players that were off the table to anyone else?

It was the pinnacle of compromised drafts.

Handy group:

Don Pyke
Peter Sumich
Craig Turley
Scott Watters
Glen Jakovich
Mitchell White
Jason Ball

Gotta say Essendon's clash jumper is a shocker. Its regular guernsey is a classic. How did someone come up with the concept of red on red for a red and black team? At least the clash strip is aptly-named - it clashes with itself.
As much as I hate the colours - for obvious reasons ;) - I think the current Bombers clash top is a very clever poke at the concept of clash jumpers.

Those subtle black lines allow them to display their sash.

Yes I do remember. But we had to travel 3 weeks in a row despite finishing on top. FACTS. No club can handle that.

Lol, you forgot that hawthorn had zones to recruit its own players from at that time? And you want to talk about compromised?

Also, how can you call it compromised when we couldn’t choose players from 90% of draft pool. Only west Australians. Which are about 10% of draftable talent AT A TIME WHEN HAWTHORN AND OTHER CLUBS HAD ZONES.

We didn’t get the no1 pick, which hawthorn did.

We didn’t participate in 1986 or 1987 afl drafts.

So I am sorry but getting a handful of a grade players makes it compromised?

Sumich and Jakovich are the only stars on that list you gave. Some handy players but some are crap, like Watters. Wouldn’t call him handy.

Spin it whichever way you like mate. You must be confusing GC and GWS concessions with ours where they got to pick players from 100% of available draft pool. And a number of them.

In 1991, you hosted a final at home and you would have hosted another final at home, had you won at home. Because you lost at home, you didn’t get to play at home.

The point stands. WCE benefitted from compromised drafts that helped it win 2 premierships. No spinning required to accept that.

We had play at Subi twice in 2015. Don't get bitter because WCE shit the bed in the GF.

??? But we won the following week…then had to play away…and the week after…and still played away! Wasn’t even the MCG!

Also in 1996 we WON the first finals game but also then had to travel. So you know, at least get your facts right.

Mate it wasn’t wce that compromised drafts. What part of Melbourne teams having recruitment zones don’t you understand? There was no decent players for WCE to recruit through draft. Had to pick from only 10% of talent pool. Those are facts. Hawks also had no1 pick. Not convenient for you?

Hey look, lucky GC and GWS took the best players available through Australia. Weakened other teams, helped hawks. Facts. Good for you.

I’m not bitter, you are bitter that people know that afl had given hawks a helping hand. I like it how you want to assess travelling twice as though that is some horrific thing for you.

Above is why WCE are a strong club, the rough beginning, the level of bigotry towards WCE was unbelievable. And we continue to ruffle feathers of box clubs who look at us with only envy.

Yeah very clever... a clever example of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

They get to wear a shit jumper to prove a point instead of just reversing the jumper to make a great looking alternative.

Right now I’d have to say Freo and Bombers with the red sash on the red guernsey that looks ugly af.

The Gold Coast’s jumper is putrid and should be put in the trash can. It looks like a McDonald’s French fries container. They need a complete overhaul. The color scheme needs to be softened to start with. Fire engine red is a no go. They should have a black jumper with a yellow, and red V. The back would be black with yellow numbers. Their clash jersey could be yellow with a black, and red V. The back would be yellow with black numbers.

The Giants need to change their jerseys too. They could have a charcoal, white, and orange panel design jumper, resembling St Kilda’s. The back would be charcoal with orange numbers.

Sydney need to ditch the opera house. They should just wear their South Melbourne jersey.

The black with white stripes Collingwood jumper has become passé. The white jumper with black stripes is way better. Model it on what they wore in the 1970’s, 80’s, and 90’s.

Hawthorn should ditch all their bizarre away jumpers. Just stick with the vertical stripes.

The simplest jumpers are the best.

The original gold Coast jumper in the tac cup was quite good, and was why the players voted to keep it.
But somebody altered it horribly before 2011 and ruined it with yellow side panels and a sun inside the logo.

Nothing goes better together than red and black.
Except Royal Blue and White, especially with clean, vertical stripes with Royal Blue Shorts and Royal Blue Socks.:)

My vote for worst jersey goes to Hawthorn, vertical stripes have never looked as bad as when they remind the onlooker of a soiled nappy.
