Last week there was a poll on the best forward lines in the AFL and laughed when i saw that Ports were up there and i got laughed at when i said the Crows forward line is much better and have more options.
Call be bias but i just cant see how Ports is better?

Crows:

HF: Keays Fogarty Neal-Bullen
F: Walker Thilthorpe Rachele/Rankine

Port:

HF: Powell-Pepper Lukocious Berry/Rozzee
F: Rioli Georgiadis Lord

Thoughts?

I'd go the Crows but Port's would probably be

Port:

HF: Powell-Pepper Lukocious Berry/Rozzee
F: Resting Butters/ Hornet Georgiadis Rioli

Port's got a few of the best crumbing forwards, but only 1 decent tall forward. Similar to The Crows who only have 1 decent tall forward, too, Walker completely dropped off, he was the difference in 2023. Probably pick Port's just because their crumbers are real clutch players. See that Hawthorn game where their crumbers Rioli and Byrne-Jones snatch the win off Hawthorn with 23 seconds to go.

Crows comfortably.

Crows better KPFs, Port have the edge in the smalls if Rankine is meant to be playing midfield.
Rankine as a mid does make the goal kicking abiity of their midfields closer to even though.

Fog, Fithy and Tex are decent

Imo Fogarty is at least as good as any of the Port KPFs, and id have Thilthorpe ahead of them all.
Forget Tex, I still would prefer the Crows KPFs

If Port can't free Willie, their forward line becomes a bit pedestrian. It's something that gets exposed in finals.

Adelaide need to figure out whether Tex is still in their best set up. Geelong had an awkward transition before figuring out playing Neale, without Hawkins, was now a better mix. The Crows look to be in a similar position with Walker.

Interesting observation about what to do with Tex. He'll be managed this year anyway but I've noticed in the past both Fog and TT play better without Tex in the forward line or perhaps even when he's not playing at all. I'd personally prefer Fog and TT as the go to forwards and Tex roaming around the wing. Tex is an excellent field kick and it would free up some space for our young guns.
