Ryan Lonie

I still think of he gets drafted today he would play 200 games had speed and great skills just got labelled with the soft tag and never recovered.

Just had a look played 123 games which is pretty good.

Similar to Isaac Smith? Don't reckon he would've played so many games if he'd played 15 years or so ago

Steven Salopek, Andrew Moore and Brett Eddy were three Port players who should've done more for us. Salopek and Moore should've been stars of the game but we ruined them and Eddy should've been a 2 goal a game 3rd tall but Ken held him back because Jackson Trengove was apparently a better option.

Outside Port, can't go past a certain Shane Yarran. Definitely had the tools to succeed for Freo. Patton from GWS is another one but that's injuries ruining what he should've been.

Tyson Lane would come to a Pizza shop 3 times a week and order a family pizza just didn't give a shit.

The owner was a mad Collingwood supporter and would hate serving him always tried to get him to eat right.

Isaac would have been more athletic, Lonie the better kick.

Bit of a left field one but Andrew Hooper who made his debut for us in a final against Sydney and kicked a goal. Little bloke who had a ripping year in the VFL before this in his first season.

I never envisioned he’d be a star or anything but generally thought he’d at least be handy and just looked like a good little player and another cheeky find off the rookie list. Pretty well disappeared and was off the list 2 years later after playing another 5 games

Ben McKinley. Kicked a lot of goals at times but wasn't wanted for some reason
He started playing regular games just as forward pressure became important. Woosh got sick of him because he was too immobile to lay enough tackles and pressure up front. Ash Hansen had a similar problem. JK was also a young forward on the list in 08/09 who could fulfil what the coach wanted, so he pushed mckinley out to North Melbourne.

I reckon if he'd started 5 years earlier he would've been the star forward the eagles were crying out for in the mid 2000s, unfortunately the game changed by the time he arrived.
