Who are "your boys"?

I've been a massive fan of Harry since listening to him on KRock driving home after his first game against the dons in 08. But he was a mature age so I guess he doesn't really count.

More recently, I've been very defensive/supportive of T.Hunt since he started.

The (probably) obvious ones - Bartel and Selwood, prodigiously talented players with the added bonus of being eye-candy /shallowness

In addition, I've always had a soft spot for Matty Stokes and Shannon Byrnes (I felt ridiculously sad when he left). Before that Peter Riccardi was one of my favourites from the time he first started at the club.

I remember my old man thought Matthew Spencer was going to be a star on his write up in the paper :D he was one of mine. Kane Tenace's first goal had me sold on him for a long time to.

Of the current players, Dawson Simpson because of seeing him in the 2009 (or was it 2011?) Grand Final Sprint. I couldn't believe seeing this 2 meter tall bloke line up against Paddy Dangerfield and co.

i personally have zero respect, but we are all different.

terry bright for mine.
I hear ya and i certainly do not condone what he did and another mistake and he is gone.

I just know that I took advantage of my chance and think others, with in reason, should get one too.

Go Catters

Like others Billie Smedts is one I take an interest in. I think it might have been the first quarter against the Crows and Billie was about to claim a nice juggling mark & have a shot at goal and Pods clumsily got involved, neither of them ended up with it. I was offended on Billie's behalf....damn you Podsiadly.

I suppose he's not my boy as such but I've sort of come to view Mackie as somewhat of a barometer these days, so I probably get a kick of seeing him kick a goal more than any other player when he does get the chance. I'm not sure how it works on the inside, and certainly opposition fans like to underrate or acuse him of being soft, but I see him as a bit of a spiritual leader.

Billie Smedts for me, funnily enough....

Have also been a fan of Poodle, Hyphen, Duncan and Simpson from early on in their respective careers.
My biggest regret is being one of the many who called for Hawkins to be chopped a few years back. Now i'd like him to be "my boy" but think I've given up that right...

Hmmm I thought I had posted in this thread...apparently not.

Bundy is MY boy :D well I certainly claim him amongst my mates anyway.
After meeting Murda with a mate we have both claimed him as 'our boy' as well.

As a kid it was obviously always Gaz... I also claimed Colbert.. even had a number 2 put on my jumper... then he dogged us... and now he can go and get f**ked

Murdoch, McCarthy and Mackie
Followed by Murdoch and McCarthy at Glenelg SA and have met them- great down to earth, humble guys who are country boys at heart! Both play for the "team" - never for themselves. Nice guys so I will defend them if I have to.
Mackie, because he also is a SA boy
Also a soft spot for the "Blitz" - think he's an amazing story!

It's the first time I've read the OP. And I haven't read the thread.

Duncan, GHS, Brown, and Guthrie I've been on for ages.
Motlop, Smedts, and Cowan I have not.

Motlop has converted me. GHS and Brown I'm cooling on. But only because I never get to see them.

Oh, and I wasn't on the Christensen train either!

Really taking a shine to Caddy over recent weeks. Could be our Judd (prime)/Dangerfield type player.

Obviously he lacks the pace of those two but it takes a rare type to bulldoze through packs the way he does.
