Who should we take at pick 4??

Now let's say that Deledio, Griffen and Tambling go top 3, which is more than likely, who should Richmond draft at Pick 4??

Wood is the best ruckmen on offer by far and Franklin and Roughead are the two best KPP on offer.

Personally i'd pick Wood hands down, but i'm curious on what the general concensous among Richmond supporters are regarding pick 4.

i agree... franklin may turn out like a fiona.... wood would be a good pick up.... but its is a bit early to get him.. but would be dissapointed to miss out on a ruckman. in 3 years time stafford would be gone and simmonds will need somebody to back up or take his place while he goes up forward. i think we we should use pick four on wood than risk taking him or one of the other two at pick 12 and missing out.

I don't like the idea of 2 years of Franklin and he wants to go home. Wood, does look to have the skills, but a KPP is what we are crying out for now that we have Simmonds. A ruck prospect is what we'll get at 12 or 16. At 4, I'd take Roughead.

i doubt there will be a ruckman avaliable at pick 12 or 16...???

there will be but just not in the same league as deluca, wood and meeson, well pick up someone just below them. we do need a kpp and we can get a ruckman next season.

Which would be Pat Bowden from the Doggies isnt it? Hes a good player imo.

So we will have;

Pat Bowden and Troy Simmonds while getting rid of Aaron Fiora, such a soft player.

and picks; 1,4,12,16,20,36


The future, if we dont mess up, which there is a high chance of us doing going by the past looks preety good. We already have a few good kids. We are likly not to finsh too high next year and should score another couple promising players. If we can build a team around Couglan over he next few years we could do a Geelong and have succes in 3/4 yers time.

Pick the best player available. Don't reach and pick for need.

I would make sure that we entice a young midfield gun like Salopek in the preseason draft. Knowing that we have an extra onballer in Salopek i would than take Deledio with number one and then concentrate on the best two talls with pick 4 and 12. Forget Pat Bowden if we can get Salopek. Salopek is coming off a season where he had glandular fever. Was a high draft choice with huge expectations and performances. Good size, very quick and skilled, hard at it and would really thrive back home in Victoria. Also much younger than Pat Bowden, who i think will not improve much. Miller and Wallace will make a big mistake if they do not go at him hard to come back to Richmond.
