Remember that Melbourne, the Western Bulldogs, North Melbourne & Hawthorn all play interstate home games. You can't count these as interstate games, they choose to play them there, there for must be treated like home games.

I can't believe we only get 4 days games in Sydney. The old sunday arvo SCG tradition is slowly dying, and we're losing our true advantage by playing more games at that souless ground they call Telstra Stadium. Plus, Sydney have a bad record in night games lately, and now we seem to play more night matches than ever. Not happy at all!!

Who is the big winners then?

Sydney appear to be looked after again with 13 home state games and missing playing Freo in Perth yet again.

Are you serious? We play the top 4 teams, within the first 6 rounds, and we play the Eagles and Port Adelaide twice! Not to mention the fact we're playing less and less at our REAL home ground, the SCG. We almost have no advantage at TS, i hate that ground.

Yeah, but what about Collingwood getting screwed again

I was serious, but I have gone and worked out the draw difficulty the way champion data do.

With travel excluded , from easiest to hardest.

Geelong 47.63%
Essendon 48.32%
West Coast 48.41%
Hawthorn 48.42%
Collingwood 48.91%
Bris Lions 49.02%
Adelaide 49.31%
St Kilda 49.41%
W Bulldogs 49.60%
Port Adel 49.91%
Richmond 50.69%
Carlton 51.08%
Fremantle 51.27%
Kangaroos 51.28%
Melbourne 51.57%
Sydney 53.03%

It does appear that Sydney has been pinged a harder draw.

How is that calculated?

At least that is their home ground.
Richmond celerbrating 100 years.
Melbourne celerbrating 150 years.

Both of these teams have the MCG as their home.
But are playing at the Dome..... why?

This is a joke.

Its the tigers to fix, its their home game...

Remember the moaning when we played the pies this year at TD while across town the roos were playing the Dogs? This is 100 times worse... 150 years!!

Us Geelong fans know that we can beat any team at any ground and at any time. We would've liked a few home games at the MCG though, and some Friday night home games. The AFL ****ed us over hard. I would say that Geelong in '08 has more crowd pulling power than Essendon, Richmond and Carlton, but we still get treated like a second rate club.

We can stomp our feet all day long but it wont matter. Gillon, Vlad and Andy Ando will just laugh it off as an "an anomaly of the draw" and do **** all about it.

Just got to move on.

You work out the wins and losses of all the teams each team plays form the ladder at the end of the previous year and divide the total wins by the total losses.

Doesn't that travel into the equation at all.

i guess its better than nothing.. buit travel is pretty important.
playing a bottom 4 team in perth is still a travel to perth..

We only play Hawthorn once:thumbsdown:...

... But atleast we don't have to go to sh*t Tassie

Finally, West Coast @ Subiaco. Looking forward to it:thumbsu:
