Banter Carlton is better in 2024. Who will be better in 2025? Carlton or Collingwood? Part 3

Banter threads are not to be taken too seriously. Have fun. Let others have fun.

LOL. Success is winning the premiership.

There’s been nothing successful about either sides season. I still doubt Carlton make the 8, but if you do, don’t fear it will be swift and painless.

A 'successful' season - contending to finish in 8th position.

Yes, Blues supporters desperately seize on the most insignificant “achievements” of their team to crow about. A bit like Bomber fans in the absence of anything else, reduced to bragging about Dodoro winning trade week 23 years in a row.

I suppose though, after nearly 30 years of not winning anything, (apart from FIVE wooden spoons), you can’t blame them for getting excited about 8th position.

So it's not bottom 6 - it's just Hawthorn based off how the season panned out had a harder draw then they should have based on 2023 ladder position.

The fixture is based on the 2023 ladder positions - the AFL can't predict the future and tell who will rise and who will fall.
Is it not odd though that bottom 6 hawks had most of the same sides as double ups as a top 6 side?

I remember every year when we were at the bottom our fixture was consistently graded by Champion Data to be far harder than where we finished. In 2019, after winning 2-games in 2018 it was graded harder than Richmond's who were coming off a Preliminary Final. There are always oddities like that with the fixture

Ideally, ever club should play each other twice (home and away) just like the EPL. Only way to achieve true fairness. Unfrtunately, AFL will never go to a 34-week season (soon becoming 36-week when Tasi enter)

That's AFTER the season is completed.

Why post untruths?

Thread should be closed.
Dirtys can't finish above the Blues. It's mission impossible.
If both sides were going well the MCG would be full - the real question is , how many have abandoned their side just to prove that bandwagon supporters exist for both pies and demons supporters.

Oh.

Is this the same way that noone was going to turn up to the Collingwood v. Brisbane game at the Saturday twilight time?

Next minute over 60,000 attendees, which happens to be Brisbane's largest crowd this year, eclipsing their second highest crowd by 18000 people.

Carlton v. Melbourne drew 58000 attendees earlier in the season, at a time when both teams had aspirations for top 4. Let's see how the crowd for a dead rubber at the end of the season compares...

Fadge is a master at causing the psychological disintegration of Carlton posters.
There is not a single Collingwood supporter on here breaking anyone. You’re all masters of changing the rules of this thread and a walking contradiction.

Collingwood supporters: Carlton were given double ups against 17th and 18th.

Carlton supporters: But when the fixture was made Richmond finished 13th.

Collingwood supporters: That doesn’t matter. North Melbourne finished 17th last year.

Carlton supporters: But Hawthorn finished 16th last year. So the double-up was 17th vs 16th according to last years ladder. It’s a negligible difference.

Collingwood supporters: That doesn’t matter. Only this years ladder counts.

So the rules of next years thread don’t change in July, again, one of you should make a checklist on what does count….. outside of final ladder position.

Your club sold hope of finals for 2024 and flights to Bali were fully booked last weekend hence 61k turned up for the GF replay.
Now that hope is gone. Let's see how many fairweathered supporters decide who could be bothered

Aww, diddums. 😂

We’ve averaged 3,000 fewer people at home games than Collingwood this year. 9 MCG (7 at Marvel) games for Carlton vs 13 MCG games (3 at Marvel) for Collingwood and your fanbase could only muster at extra 3,000 people? To put that into perspective, you've been given an extra 188,000 seats and only got 3,000 people in. 😂

Your supporters have done plenty of “not turning up”.
